There's a definite feel of history repeating as Josh's obsession with study causes the same problems between him and Evelyn that it did between him and Maddy, and a nice awkward moment when Maddy comments on the fact.Actually, it's very easy to sympathise with Josh in the first half of the episode, as the other teens are being very annoying and distracting, although he crosses a line by turning to artificial stimulants.
Also in the "very annoying and distracting" category are Irene and Marilyn, who do a very good job of messing up Roo's date for her.It's good to see John in the right for once, even if no-one listens to him. Alf's little moment of teasing is actually quite funny.
Zac seems to have lost all sanity in his quest to make things up to Leah, and forgotten exactly what the point of a loan is.When even a sociopath like Charlotte is talking more sense than him, he's definitely in trouble.
