Even tho there are still flaws, the show is improving
This show isn't great yet, but it's starting to be. I liked the 3rd episode a little bit better, but this one is almost as good.
The movie still does the book series a little bit more justice, but the show is definitely improving. Since the last episode, this started to feel like a much bigger world than it was shown in the first two episodes and that feeling isn't lost here. This episode had a part of the book, but this is the most original episode yet and the plot of this episode is much more on its own and it was done in a very interesting way. I think it's a very good thing that they are starting to expand the world. And also, in this episode, a fan favorite bromance is introduced - Malec (Magnus and Alec). I don't really care about the romance in this story but, Malec- shippers, you won't be disappointed. But I didn't like Magnus Bane in this episode. He was cool in the previous ones (and one of my favorite characters in the books), but here he's kinda annoying. I'm not homophobic at all, but it's like they wanted to make it very clear that he's gay in this episode, but he's actually bisexual. The most memorable scene in the episode is the one with the memory demon. It was very well done and I think Alec's reveal couldn't be executed in a better way and Matthew Daddario played the part perfectly in that scene and also looking at the acting, he's one of the best. CGI could be better, but it's already a little bit better than before. So, in conclusion, this was a very interesting episode and I hope Freeform keeps it up this way and even better!
