Jack and Nikki are called in when a man is found brutally murdered in his flat.
After that showing the show seems to be moving in a direction, from gore and guts to violence, that opening was very violent, not often seen on Silent Witness.
That housing estate used as the scene of David's death is used quite a lot on the show, must be a dangerous place to live.
I once again found myself being very impressed with Lyndsey Marshal, she's an actress that seems to be popping up more and more, deservedly do, she's very talented, was excellent in this as Doctor Sasha Blackburn. Toby Wharton was impressive as Paul/Joe too, he had previously appeared in Shadows, one of the best episodes in the show's history.
Very different in tone from last week's two part story, once again very hard hitting and gritty, this was very well done, 8/10
