Surprisingly coherent for a Russian work. A refreshing take on the vampire genre. The women all quite beautiful and distinctive. The lead manages a strongly mannered performance entirely in keeping with her unusual roll. I'd love to name her but unfortunately, at this writing, the credits provided here are too vague to be able to exactly identify which one is her. The overall look of the film is stylish (except for a few distinctly Russian Folk items) and helps to emphasize the unusually mannered aspect of the overall work. The story is immersive. Writing and directing good, especially considering the fact that this is Russian.
