A beautiful journey.

I enjoyed very much this journey in Texas: beautiful landscapes and nice encounters.

There are so many interesting aspects of Texas: the immigration (the economic growth, the immigrants coming from California or New York, the great companies like Apple, Google and Facebook in Austin, the revival of the ghost town of Terlingua with Cinta de Narvaez), the cowboys (the O-Six Ranch with its 3.000 animals, the daily work of the cowboys), the conquest of the West (the "Alamo" movie with John Wayne and his film location, ,Richard Curilla telling the story of the Alamo battle), the hunting reserve of Stone Creek (the self made man Scott Pace, the hunting parties), the low drivers ( Freddy, Chucco, Dee, Crazy Girl and Momia and their old American cars) and the barbecue in Texas (the barbecue contests, Daniel Vaugh, the journalist specialized in barbecue, the 1.600 barbecue restaurants of Texas).

I enjoyed the encounters of Jérôme with Stephanie Cavender in San Antonio ( the flower festival, the boat tour in the canals), with Tom Michael , the radio announcer in Marfa (the story of the city), with Chip Love, the ranch owner and his cowboys, with Victoria Burch and his father Jack N. Burch II ( the shooting sport center), with Peter Bean (the campus of the Austin University , the baseball match of the Texas Longhorns), with the bikers David Mann and Virgil Holdman in Fredericksburg (the enchanted Rock and its story, Luckenbach with its post office, store -museum, the dance-hall and the Texas country music): very nice encounters with very kind Texan men and women.
