The Answer packs emotional punch for the Steven Universe series as a whole. I usually don't get all that emotional from television cartoons; but this one was truly something special. This episode is the origin story of Garnet: and how she came to be one of the founding members of The Crystal Gems. This episode is a powerful story. It gives a beating heart to Steven Universe's ever-expanding mythology, and the series has earned its place as one of Cartoon Network's absolute crowning achievements in the channel's 20+ year history. The Answer almost brings me to tears it's so potent. There's... just something about Garnet's (Ruby and Sapphire's) character that just speaks to me. I've hardly cared for a character this much. This episode: is a fairy tale for those struggling to find their place in the world and looking for acceptance.
