Fun new information about Laura Diamond
gjenevieve19 March 2016
Warning: Spoilers
This starts off with someone calling Laura in a panic and then suddenly being killed while still on the call with her. Laura recognizes the voice but cannot place it at first. Through some great detective work, she and Meredith Bose decipher the sounds on the call and figure out where the call came from. This leads them to an interesting discovery.

The dead guy has a girlfriend. She is the main suspect, but Laura doesn't think that she is the actual killer and sets out to clear her. (Who this girlfriend is, is a bit of a surprise so I won't spoil that for you). Laura ends up getting the girl to talk and finds out that there is a really big drug lord at the head of all of this mess. Santiani, a detective from the precinct where the murder of the originally unknown caller happened, the murder victim's girlfriend, and Laura all work together to set up a sting on the drug lord. They catch him and he makes threats against Laura.

At the end of the show, Santiani tells Laura that they are going to be doing a press conference together. Laura doesn't really want to do this but Santiani tells her that she has to since she was the one that was instrumental in capturing the drug lord. While the live press conference is going on, the rest of the team is at a bar celebrating the win and watching Laura and Santiani on TV. While Santiani is talking, a gunshot comes through the window near where Laura and Santiani are standing. Jake flies off his barstool and heads to where the conference was taking place. It was Santiani that got shot and according to Laura, she didn't make it. To this I say, "Hurray!" I am glad that she is no longer on the show. I never liked her being on it to begin with. I never really felt that she fit in with the rest of the crew. I don't know what they are going to do now, but I am very happy that the Santiani character is gone.
