For the love of marshmallows!
Tweekums1 April 2016
Warning: Spoilers
This anime series is centred on Habahiro Hige and office worker with a taste for marshmallows. Knowing that he likes a particular brand co-worker Iori Wakabayashi, who has a crush on him, befriends him but never seems to be able to get him to realise just how she feels for him. He is also pursued by the less subtle Nijimori Mioko, who has fallen in love with Hige after he unwittingly saved her from a pervert on a train.

Given that there are only twelve episodes and they are under four minutes long it isn't surprising that the plot isn't all that deep. It is fun enough even though it doesn't have the fast pace most shorts seem to. The characters are decent enough; it made a change to have a protagonist who is far from glamorous; Hige is somewhat chubby and has a moustache… definitely not the cliché bishounen male lead. The episodes are fun to watch but fairly forgettable. Overall I'd say this is a decent enough series; hardly a must see but given how short the episodes are I'd say it is worth checking out an episode or two to see if you like it.

These comments are based on watching the series in Japanese with English subtitles.

Good idea but nothing special

It's just really about a obese middle aged man and a young office lady who share the same love of marshmallows.

Even though the episodes are 4 minutes short, the anime is still boring. It could've been done better if the storyline wasn't so light-hearted but rather deep. That way it would make the storyline even more enjoyable to keep me watching more then 4 episodes that I've already wasted my good few minutes on ......

So cute and uplifting!

Warning: Spoilers
A little bit of spoilers: The anime isn't perfect and I'd love to get a second season to give us a real ending and wrap things up but the anime was very uplifting and hilarious and had so many great scenes! I watched the whole thing and than watched it again with my husband and had no regrets. It definitely filled that empty void for me for a good anime even for a short while. My only complaint is how short the anime was and no continuation of the series!

Adorable, wholesome, funny and best of all no fillers!

I'm glad to have been recommended this little show by a friend of mine as it really fit the bill of everything I like in an anime. Everything about this mini-show is enjoyable, from the comedy of an overly clingy woman trying to get the adorable and innocent man to notice her in every way possible, to the genuine and heartfelt moments, all packed into short 3 minute episodes.

If you want something that'll make you snicker, smile, feel good and go "Aaaaw" this fits perfectly. Despite the lewd humor it's entirely wholesome, I'm sure you'll understand if you watch it, and heartwarming.

Perhaps I like it so much because I'm approaching the same age as the characters and I struggle more and more to indentify with the majority of anime out there that do nothing interesting on remotely relatable. This anime is just about the good feelings and a simple premise that doesn't need 12 seasons and 7 movies.

Since the episodes are short there's not much of an investment in watching the show's 13 episodes. It's perfectly condensed and best of all, as you can imagine, no fillers.
