An amazing movie really. Seyyid is a movie about love, loss and redemption all seen through the grey, realist lens of the 1980's. Armed only with his wits, a peacock coat and gun Seyyed tries to live the life of an ordinary man working with his long time friend Janne "Loffe" Turk, and his boy Osman, as a carpenter while scaling the line between right and wrong. Finding a young girl in trouble with the Istanbul mob Seyyed must know prove, to the world and to himself, that he still has what it takes to save someone in need. Though as he soon will find out, the girl in question has some secrets of her own. If you enjoy thrilling action mixed with romance, mystery and a perfect score mixing the modern with the oriental tunes of the not too distant past, then Seyyed, is the right movie for you. The casting is superb with Yavuzer Cetinkaya making his debut as the comical "Janne "Loffe" Turk" not to mention the very young and talented actor behind Osman, the boy following his fathers footsteps. 10/10 fez, go watch this masterpiece now!
