'Deranged' with Producer Tom Karr (2015)

DERANGED producer Tom Karr is interviewed in this 17 minute featurette that can be found on the Blu-ray release of the movie. Karr starts off talking about how he was in the concert business and how the idea of this film was discussed with Led Zeppelin who he says was behind the picture. From here we learn about how Karr got introduced to Bob Clark, what it was like shooting the picture as well as trying to find someone to distribute it. This is a rather strange featurette because it looks like the interview was recorded a couple decades ago yet it seems current since Karr mentions the Blu-ray. There are several interesting moments scattered throughout the featurette including the fact that Karr constantly refers to Clark as the director. He was rumored to have directed the picture for years but then it came out that he was just an uncredited producer but here we have the producer saying he was the director! There's also some nice talk about Tom Savini's work as well as the auditions for the lead, which included Christopher Walken and Harvey Keitel! There's an interviewer in the film played by an actress and we constantly get shots of her writing in a notebook for some reason.
