Embark on an adventure, with the smallest sword imaginable!

I saw this game on the shelves of the Blockbuster video and for the life of me, I do not know why I never gave it a try. It is not like I heard anything bad about it as the internet was in its infancy in those days. One of the first SNES games released, it would be an action RPG game that is most certainly not without its flaws, but somewhat fun nonetheless. I probably would have enjoyed it as a rental as it has a fairly good length to it, though much of its length comes from a very challenging last few levels!

The story, someone is trying to rise darkness and the water in the land is foul and polluted causing all sorts of problems. Nasir is sent with a sword, a very small sword to try and stop this pollution and get to the bottom of it! He runs into a man named Thor and Nasir also sees a princess through his adventures which often see him go into a town and then go do something at a castle or dungeon, rinse and repeat!

The game play is different. It uses the fact your sword has such a limited range to create more strategy than simply slicing through enemies on your way through the fantasy land. Though, it can be kind of intimidating when your sword is super small and the enemy takes up the screen! However, if you find the sweet spot, you can annihilate most enemies with little or no damage. You can get money in the game, but it is almost pointless, I forgot there was anything you could buy as the last couple of towns I went through didn't even have shops! You also level up, but there is a cap at 36.

So, it is okay, would have been worth a rental, but nowhere as good as other action RPG games. It could be said it is like Zelda, but it too blows this game away. The combat I compare of games like Hylide where you bump into the enemy and hope for the best, only you do have more chances to simply destroy your enemy if you can place the teeny tiny sword in the right place! It was fun playing through this game on the emulator, but definitely nothing I would have cared to own as definitely not much replay value here.
