The Price Is Right host Drew Carey became “Uncle Drew” and watched a contestant fall to the floor during a recent on-stage moment.
The popular game show often has some sweet prizes for contestants, including trips, cash, and cars.
Sometimes, those prizes can bring a lot of excitement, and contestants are overwhelmed with emotions.
Fortunately, the woman who fell on stage was completely fine, and Carey didn’t need to resuscitate her after her excited reaction.
Carey, 65, has seen plenty of surprising and exciting moments as the show’s host since 2007.
That included an impressive Showcase Showdown feat, where a contestant could take home a nice collection of prizes.
More recently, he experienced another unique interaction with a contestant and some excitement during her time on stage.

Back in 1998, Drew Barrymore and Adam Sandler charmed the world with their film "The Wedding Singer." Set back in 1985, Barrymore played Julia, a catering waitress who is engaged to a complete jerk named Glenn (Matthew Glave). She meets wedding singer Robbie (Sandler) at the reception hall where they both work, and it's the very definition of a meet-cute. However, Robbie is also engaged to a jerk named Linda (Angela Featherstone), who doesn't appreciate his low-paying job. Of course, Julia and Robbie end up together after he serenades her (with rock star Billy Idol's help) on the flight to her wedding in Las Vegas. Look, this would be a pretty awful situation in the real world, but in a film, it's adorable.
Since then, Barrymore and Sandler have re-teamed for two other romantic comedies: "50 First Dates" in 2004 and "Blended" in 2014. The two actors have been friends for years, as well as co-stars,...

Drake assured fans that For All the Dogs would mark the return of the “old Drake.” But the Mc who explored his emotions with uncommon sensitivity on Take Care and Nothing Was the Same is nowhere to be found on his eighth studio album. Unless by the “old Drake” he meant the 12-year-old Drake, as For All the Dogs registers less as a sign of artistic growth than the idea of what a teenage boy considers cool: empty flexes about wealth and status, acting like a hardass, and, of course, ceaseless misogyny under the guise of being “one of the boys.” If anything, the album reassures listeners that Drake, no matter how hard he vows to change, is more or less stuck in his ways.

Drew Carey today saluted the writers who thanked him for the meals he provided strikers at Bob’s Big Boy and Swingers during the WGA work stoppage. It was his first public comments on his charitable efforts.
“I deeply appreciate all the love and thanks. It (was worth) every dime. But if you really want to thank someone for those meals, thank Bruce Helford and all the Drew Carey Show writers.
They helped make me rich enough to afford it. No writers, no $. Simple as that.”
The emcee of The Price Is Right didn’t previously comment in the media about his decision to cover the tabs at the two restaurants since the May strike began. Thus, no one knows the cost, but estimates of $10,000 per week have been bandied in the media.
A guest book was placed at Bob’s for all the hungry scribes to show their appreciation.

As Drew Barrymore digs herself into a deeper hole regarding the return of her daytime talk show, lost in the debate is a conversation about the peculiar nature of syndicated TV.
One week ago, Barrymore ignited a firestorm when she announced her talk show would be returning amid the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes. In the week since, tensions worsened and Barrymore, normally well-liked for her good-natured personality, intensified that criticism when she doubled down with a second, now-deleted, video message. If anything, her attempt to quell any criticism had the opposite effect.
Barrymore is at the eye of the storm, but she is not the only daytime host returning this upcoming week. “The Jennifer Hudson Show” and CBS’ “The Talk,” which is not syndicated, will launch new seasons on Monday, Sept. 18, as well as Sherri Shepherd’s “Sherri” and Karamo Brown’s “Karamo,” though those two shows are not struck or covered by the WGA,...

Drew Barrymore offered up an explanation Friday as to why her daytime talk show is returning, amid fierce criticism during the writers strike. However, later that afternoon, the video had been removed after criticism of the video on social media, notably from her fellow members of the entertainment industry.
Bradley Whitford, Debra Messing and Alyssa Milano were among actors who posted responses to Barrymore’s video. “I hope you will reconsider,” said Messing.
“I believe there’s nothing I can do or say in this moment to make it Ok,” Barrymore said on the video, in an emotional video she posted on her Instagram. “I wanted to own a decision, so that it wasn’t a PR-protected situation, and I would just take full responsibility for my actions.”
A tearful Barrymore continued, “I know there is just nothing I can do that will make this Ok to those that it is not Ok with.

Drew Barrymore was “completely unaware” that two fans were removed from a taping of her show for wearing WGA pins, TheWrap has learned. The removal of audience members Dominic Turiczek and Cassidy Carter was blamed on “heightened security concerns.”
“It is our policy to welcome everyone to our show tapings,” a spokesperson for “The Drew Barrymore Show” told TheWrap. “Due to heightened security concerns today, we regret that two audience members were not permitted to attend or were not allowed access. Drew was completely unaware of the incident and we are in the process of reaching out to the affected audience members to offer them new tickets.”
As “The Drew Barrymore Show” resumed filming on Monday, production was met with three pickets around CBS Broadcast Center, where the series is filmed. As ticket winners Turiczek and Carter were walking into the studio, they took two pins from a WGA volunteer.

The Drew Barrymore Show will be returning to TV screens sooner than expected amid the writers and actors strikes, even as the WGA says it will picket the show’s studios Monday and Tuesday as a result.
In a lengthy Instagram post, Drew Barrymore announced that her daytime talk show will begin its fourth season soon, in accordance with the rules of the Writers Guild of America and SAG-AFTRA strikes. However, a spokesperson for the Writers Guild told The Hollywood Reporter that Drew is a struck show, and union members are set to picket outside of Barrymore’s studios Monday and Tuesday in New York City.
“It has stayed off the air since the strike began on May 2nd but has now (unfortunately) decided to return without its writers,” the spokesperson said in the statement. “The Guild has, and will continue to, picket any struck show that continues production for the duration of the strike.

The CW’s “Nancy Drew” aired its final episode on Wednesday, following last year’s news that Season 4 of the detective series would be its last. At the time, showrunners Noga Landau and Melinda Hsu Taylor said they were “full of gratitude, knowing that we were able to bring this chapter to a close with intentionality,” but executive producer Larry Teng is telling a different story.
On X, formerly known as Twitter, the EP said The CW did not tell the “Nancy Drew” team that the network planned to cancel the show until a “random call 3/4 into our season.” According to Teng, “Nancy Drew” star Kennedy McMann “was in line to shoot ‘The Good Lawyer,'” so her agent called CBS Studios (a production company behind “Nancy Drew”) to ask about scheduling in regards to “Nancy Drew” Season 5. CBS then apparently made a call to The CW “right around the...

CBS Media Ventures President Steve LoCascio is retiring after 34 years at the company and its previous iterations as the division will become part of the portfolio of Wendy McMahon, named this morning as President and CEO of CBS News and Stations and CBS Media Ventures.
The consolidation is not surprising. LoCascio’s departure comes amid a seismic changes in the syndication business marked by a major contraction in first-run syndication, primarily in the talk shoe arena. CBS Media Ventures and CBS TV Distribution’s top shows, Judge Judy, Dr. Phil and Rachael Ray, all ended their long runs in the last few years. Judge Judy has charted a new path, with its reruns remaining a ratings leader.

How has it only been one year since Kate Drew died as of Nancy Drew Season 4 Episode 8?
The only explanation is that this is TV time. Sometimes that involves time jumps of months or years. And sometimes, a series that airs over years only spans a very short period of time for the characters involved.
But it felt jarring that after all Nancy and the Drew Crew have been through, it's all taken place in one year.
The Freaky Friday style twist of having the crew swap bodies was strangely amusing as I had to keep reminding myself who was in whose body.
That is except for Bess being in Nick's body. Tunji Kasim was phenomenal at making me believe Bess now inhabited Nick's body. The voice and mannerisms were spot-on and really funny.
But speaking of Nick, was turning down the town council seat the right move? Wouldn't it...

Seeing Nancy finally get to go to her prom could have been epic if she was with the right guy, but that's not what happened on Nancy Drew Season 4 Episode 6.
Instead, she ended up in 1972 with man-eating giant spiders and dancing with Tristan instead of Ace.
I hate spiders, but I would have preferred to watch those hideous creatures all night instead of Nancy paired with Tristan.
And can someone explain to me why Nancy always ends up dancing with the wrong guy leaving Ace watching from the sidelines?
It's become a painful pattern that I wish they'd drop, considering Nancy Drew is coming to an end.
If this installment was supposed to be romantic, they definitely missed the mark.
Tristan is nice, and he's cute, but that doesn't make him the guy Nancy should be dancing with or solving mysteries, and the more we see them together, the more frustrating it is to watch.

The 2023 MTV Movie & TV Awards went on with a pretaped ceremony amid the writers strike and talent pulling out in support of the movement.
Drew Barrymore dropped out of hosting duties earlier this week and pledged to return next year. Barrymore had already pretaped the opening segment of the show where she was inserted in scenes from films like Cocaine Bear, M3GAN, and Top Gun: Maverick, as well as TV shows like The White Lotus, all while dressed as her Never Been Kissed character Josie Gellar.
Pedro Pascal took the first golden popcorn trophy of the night for his role in The Last of Us.
“I wish we could all be together so that I could look into your eyes and tell you that all the young people in the world are my heroes and I wouldn’t be here if it weren’t for you,” he said in his acceptance speech.

"The Drew Barrymore Show," often just called "Drew," launched on September 14, 2020, right when worldwide, Covid-related lockdowns were put into effect. Like many live shows, "Drew" had to immediately find ways to record safely, often with guests appearing on screens. Barrymore, eternally upbeat, and once described by the L.A. Weekly as a "sentient cloud of giggles," shifted into friendliness overdrive, selling her particular brand of irresistible joy at a time when the world was feeling particularly doomed. Some welcomed Barrymore's bubbliness. Others, like the "Saturday Night Live" writers, felt that even the actress' well-known joviality wasn't going to be nearly enough to counter the horrors of an actual plague.
SNL performer Chloe Fineman, as one might know, can do a killer Drew Barrymore impersonation, and, in the early days of lockdown, took to social media to poke fun at her. When "Drew" was announced, Fineman leaped at the opportunity to satirize the upcoming show.

House of the Dragon star Steve Toussaint has said that he is “gutted” that showrunner Miguel Sapochnik is leaving the show after just one season.

Nancy Drew Episode 10
Everyone always says absence makes the heart grow fonder. Nancy Drew returns from its winter hiatus with an episode that’s strong enough on its own merits to be named one of the season’s best installments to date. But it also seems worth mentioning that, wow, I sure did miss this broken heroine and her weirdo murder town over the past few weeks.
“The Mark of the Poisoner’s Pearl” is Nancy Drew at its best—a compelling central mystery that is also emotionally resonant for Nancy herself, plenty of meaningful Drew Crew interaction, the focus on several intriguing new relationships, and a quality scare at the end that ties it all together with what came before. And much as it did in “The Hidden Staircase,...

Nancy Drew Episode 9
In its winter finale, Nancy Drew decides to go back to the beginning – in more ways than one.
“The Hidden Staircase,” which lifts its title from the second of Carolyn Keene’s original Nancy Drew novels, is the first episode of this television adaptation that actually gives us a look at the origins of the infamous girl detective.
Of course, those origins involve a demon and the kidnapping of small children in the hopes of sacrificing their souls, because that’s just how this show rolls. But it also goes a long way to explaining why Nancy is the way she is now, and sets up several intriguing new story threads for the rest of the season.

Nancy Drew: Episode 6
Given how small a town Nancy Drew’s Horseshoe Bay is purported to be, it’s kind of wild how many truly bizarre things take place in it. From death-predicting seawater rituals to storms with the power to fuel restless spirits, there’s just…well, it’s a lot. So, it probably shouldn’t surprise us that this quaint seaside town is also the location of a super-elite party for the 1% that takes place every five years where everyone wears animal masks and bids on priceless antiquities. And yet.
“The Mystery of Blackwood Lodge” is a return to great form for the series after last week’s uneven exorcism adventure. Here, there are just enough spooky moments to feel genuinely frightening,...

Nancy Drew is not returning to television ... for now.
On Monday, CBS announced it will not be moving forward with the new project Drew, featuring a grown-up Nancy Drew. News of the dropped pilot led to a Deadline reported that the series tested well but skewed "too female" at early screenings.
Sarah Shahi, who plays the lead character in the pilot, took to Twitter after hearing the news and thanked fans for their support, but also addressed the report about her show being "too female."
"Some things are just not meant to be, but nice to know it tested well.

Girls have cooties anyway, right? According to Deadline, CBS decided to pass on the "Nancy Drew" pilot starring Sarah Shahi ("Person of Interest"), because the wrong half of the population was into it. Here's how Deadline's Nellie Andreeva described the rejection:
"'Drew' is not going forward at CBS but is being shopped to other outlets by CBS TV Studios. I hear the pilot tested well but skewed too female for CBS' schedule. In the end of the day, I hear the network had no 8 Pm or 9 Pm slot available.
Written/executive produced by [Joan] Rater and [Tony] Phelan, 'Drew' stars Sarah Shahi as Nancy — now in her 30s — a detective for the NYPD where she investigates and solves crimes using her uncanny observational skills, all while navigating the complexities of life in a modern world. Anthony Edwards, Felix Solis and Rob McClure co-star in the project, also executive produced by Dan Jinks.
