Horrible Episode!
Dog-River15 May 2021
It was frustrating watching Dre try to force his beliefs on his daughter and acting as if the only way to true happiness is if you believe. Also for this show to say every black person is religious and if you don't believe you are wrong or going through a phase was ridiculous. Dre has always been a bit over the top (mostly in a funny way), but this episode made his character and the whole show look very judgmental and unlikeable. The ending of course was predictable. This episode was not enjoyable at all.

Religious propaganda

Warning: Spoilers
This show is usually balanced in the topics they bring up, so I expected them to land on it being OK to be an atheist. Instead they pushed the narrative that any atheist is simply "lost", and a bunch of other negative stereotypes. Was really disappointed in this episode.

Because all black people are religious

Yet another show pushing the stereotype that all black people are religious. Or any black person that doesn't is evil, lost their way, going through a phase etc etc

Wow! Really???!!!

Ok, I've been offended by a few of the episodes, but this is by far the worse!

Now suddenly white people are non-believers??? Since when?! My entire family and I have been church going believers since I was a kid. And, I'm sorry, this is the first episode Dre has shown any indication of belief, and even in this episode hasn't shown any Christian traits or behaviors at all. He's all about consumerism, materialism and judging other people. He talks more about shoes and food than he ever does about God.

The one religious character, Ruby, is over the too (to the point of mocking Christianity) and refers to Jesus as "Black Jesus" - Jesus was Jewish! And even she is a horrible person.
