Stolen Tech

Anyone that has seen "Gen-Y-Cops" aka "Gen-X-Cops 2" aka "Metal Mayhem" starring Paul Rudd and Maggie Q might recognise the high tech suit as the robot RS1.

Warning: Spoilers
Jerry's sister, a law student, comes to visit and at the same time an animal gets loose and nearly creates havoc. Go know that our sister is an animal activist and planned for the latter to escape.

Some time, no matter what the circumstances, these activists go a little too far as seen in this episode.

That robot man creating havoc only proved that there is no such thing that one is eliminated as a suspect when he supposedly presents the perfect alibi.

It seems that this show suffers when it isn't dramatic enough. In comic situations, the cast seems to go off the deep end.

So bad...

Warning: Spoilers
Hawaii Five-0 is generally filled with implausible storylines, but this one may be the absolute worst. I'll forgive for a minute that Jerry has a super-model baby sister who has never been mentioned before, but then she turns out to be an animal rights activist who commits grand larceny by stealing an elephant (a really bad CGI elephant, btw). Rather than catch and prosecute her, the members of the supporting cast (Jerry, Kamekona, Max and Danny's goomba nephew Eric) help her arrange to smuggle it out of the country. Pretty sure Max commits prescription drug fraud. But circuses are mean, so it is ok and everyone feels proud of themselves for doing something good.

The other half of the episode involves chasing after a stolen super-soldier body armor that is impervious to CGI attacks (it's the "Holy Grail" of body armor, apparently). They refer to is as Ironman, but we are really talking Power Rangers level of costume design on the suit. Although it can't be stopped by bullets or conventional weapons, when trying to drive away Steve rams a police SUV into the perp's SUV, apparently stunning and/or trapping the guy in armor so that they can walk up and remove his helmet.

Jerry's Sister, really?

Warning: Spoilers
Trust me, I really like this new version of Hawaii Five-O. I especially love the banter between Steve and Danny which reminds me a lot of Starsky and Hutch. I also like the other regular characters, especially the gorgeous Grace Parks who was the best thing in Battlestar Gallactica as well.

Jorge Garcia is a definite plus, it was sad to see Alcatraz canceled after only one series, he plays these computer geeks so well. However this episode featuring his so called sister must be a joke, even the massive burger man quipped about DNA. I appreciate Hollywood doesn't do ugly women but to feature a beauty as Jerry's sister is a beauty too far. I mean every female cop in this series (and every other US series) are straight off the cat walk, just like every one in real life.

It's getting a bit tedious.

What was that???????!!!!!!!

Warning: Spoilers
I haven't been catching up with Five-O for quite a while, for a number of reasons. I recently got interest in it, and saw this episode. WHAT WAS THAT?!!!!!!! Seriously, a missing elephant stolen by came-out-of-no-where Jerry's baby sister and a plastic-like-piece-of-crap armor build up to utterly nothing. I have a feeling that the quality of story telling of season 6 episodes has been declining. Despite the beautiful Oahu, the stunning actors and actresses (still a fan of them all), and epic-theme soundtrack and cinematography, the story line simply rips all the buildup credits by the aforementioned elements. If the show wants to get its fans continue watching, the editors have to really work hard on creating innovative yet attracting stories. And don't fool us with cheap props or CGI elephants. These won't add up to fame but disappointments.

so bad, just so so bad

The CGI elephant couldn't have been done worse, i've seen computer games with more convincing and more realistic animals. Also the wannabe robocop cylon suit was just sad, it looked like a bad Bollywood movie. Did anyone working on this episode actually think it was any good? I can't imagine to be honest. This episode was two weeks late because if it aired on April 1st it would have made a lot of sense. It's a joke. Most of this season has been bad and the stories have become more stupid almost every episode. I hope this fake cheap 80s action flick vibe will be a thing of the past in the next season because this is just no fun. Get some real weapons training for the crew so it doesn't look like they are holding potatoes instead of guns. Let them actually aim at something instead of doing a rambo. Nobody that even held a gun shoots like that because you couldn't even hit the ground if you tried. Oh and sorry, but some kids need some acting lessons.
