Very well put-together episode charting the U.S./Soviet face-off throughout Reagan's presidency. Most of the time, when I hear reference to the Cold War or nuclear winter, it's in the context of parody. But the possibility was very real. And despite the oft-heard soundbite ("Tear. Down. This. Wall!") the fall of the Soviet Union was due to surprisingly economic reasons in the end. I always like that little piece of trivia; it's askew and seems to go against the might-is-right narrative.
Sadly, no mention of Hasselhoff's contribution to the Berlin Wall collapse.
8/10
