Bud Lee's "The Goodnight Nurse" is a throwaway project, but exuberant mood and Little Annie Fanny styled title performance by Sana Fey keep it watchable.
It's a light farce set at a hospital, with plenty of slapstick and not a moment of seriousness. Ultimately, it's all about the sex, but does provide a pleasant throwback to similar Golden Age of Porn comedies, such as a few by Roberta Findlay.
Lee has some imaginative sex set-ups, getting hot performances from T.J. Hart and Kelsey Heart. If one is to crank out mindless sex scenes, at least this time they fit the overall thrust of the piece, which nominally is about an attempt to get the hospital board to authorize adequate funding to keep this hospital, where Fey is a new nurse afloat.
