This is the best show I have ever seen of any show, anywhere, any time. As of the date I wrote this, I do not see where the actor who played Harriet Tubman is credited on this IMDb page. I hope they eventually do so. She gave an award winning performance. I only wonder if the speech was based on an actual Tubman speech or did the show writers create it. If the show writers created it, they also need an award. This show should be a must view for every American History class in this country. I would love to have a DVD of this episode alone to show my granddaughters.

Top 5 TV Episodes of All Time

This episode and this show should be manditory viewing for all. There is simply nothing more that can be added. Watch this episode, and then go back to watch this show from the beginning. If you are not moved, then you have no soul. This is our history. Thank you, to every person involved in the creation of this show, and thank you especially to Aisha Hinds for her extraordinary performance in this episode.
Wonderful

A powerful performance, the equal of any I have ever seen. Really a one woman show of unparalleled quality. I totally believed that she was Tubman from the first minute to the last. This is what acting is all about, no special effects, car chases or explosions, just the performer connecting with the audience.

very powerful and moving episode. very well written and performance by the actor. she played an exceptional role in this episode. this is real acting. I felt like I was actually listening to Harriet Tubman herself. I believe young people of today really need to watch and learn and understand from this show.
One of the best episodes of tv I have been able to watch.

Where can I start, well first i dont recall seeing an episode in a show like this especially a serial show where tuey take a break from the story and someone who isnt a regular is telling a story for a full 54 minutes. I expected flashback scenes but was surprised and riveted listening to Harriet's story and message. It was like watching a one act stage play or a short film and the writing was very well done, And of course that was because of the amazing Aisha Hinds who brought Harriet to life right before my eyes, what a performance! If I had my way she would have gotten an Emmy, I think the real Harriet would have been proud. You can actually watch this episode without any prior knowledge of the show, though you should watch it cuz its great.
Must see episode

Aisha Hinds was perfection as Harriet Tubman. Her portrayal really brought Miss Tubman back to life with all the history and emotion. Shivers ran down my spine and tears were running down my face. This episode is a must see. I could sit and listen to Miss Hinds BE Harriet Tubman over and over again. This is important for all to hear.
Absolutely captivating!

Aisha Hinds delivered some of the best acting on T.V. I've ever seen. I was sitting on the edge of my chair the entire episode.
Like many of us, I have read and studied the life of Harriet Tubman however last night I felt like I was in the presence of Harriet Tubman. The exceptional writing and acting brought this character to life like never before. I became part of the audience. The most powerful part of the episode was when Aisha Hinds looked right into the camera and spoke directly to me. Very powerful, very moving, a definite must watch.

Minty

Warning: Spoilers
This is not worthy of the 9.7/10 score it has on IMDb, but this is a powerful, adventurous and well-written episode of Underground. This is the kind of risk the show needed to take devoting the entire hour to a speech from the most important liberator of the 1800's, Harriet Tubman. Her speech was great and impactful, but it certainly deviated at times, and the shots at President Trump and Make America Great Again felt out of place.
