With good acting and movie effects, this could have been better.
For once, a horror movie successfully conveyed the message about how something as "small" as choosing to ignore basic rules could totally alter your life to your disadvantage. It basically captured the horror of being trapped, powerless, nowhere to go, at the mercy of creatures that apparently don't exist.
That being said, the story was kind of going off in different directions. Why did Fina have that kind of ability? What was up with Gina? Why was the old lady like that? Did the kids reconcile with their father? Why can't they move on? I like the idea but there were a lot of unanswered questions.
