Love this series
nehayu179 February 2017
Hi, I am from India and come to know about this most amazing love series through youtube accidentally.

This is my first ever-Turkish series. I love the story theme, the characters and the locations.

Actors Hande Erçel(Hayat) and Burak Deniz (Murat) have a done a great job while playing their characters. The role of murat is astonishing.

He is so charming, classy, handsome well i cant even describe in words and the role of hayat is also fabulos.

This show is so good that i watched it completely with English subtitles (as I don't understand Turkish). If you like love stories you should give it a shot because this TV series surely deserves it.

Love this series but still not satisfied with the end.
tejshreeitnare3 July 2020
I have really enjoyed the series. Storyline is very beautifully written and executed. Both the character done their job very well they are really beautiful and charming together, but still last episode is not satisfied. There are still many questions which are not answered in series. And also on YouTube I have watched it so still shots are cuted I am not able to find out the full series in Turkey language as im from India. I am eagerly waiting for season 2 so that end will satisfied us else this show must become mystery in itself. But I really love this series and i wish that they will execute season 2 to their audience fir satisfaction and to answer all the curiosity which has been created by this show in their heart. Hope they will share all this show on some site or somewhere that we can enjoy all this show without having any deleted scenes.

Ask laftan anlamaz gem of a show!
sanayatryan6 March 2017
Had to make an IMDb account to write a review which I thought I'd never do for any movie or TV series surprisingly and certainly not a Turkish TV series but here I am! My god what feelings does this two fresh couple brings in you, Hayat and Murat. Masha-Allah is the only word to describe this couple, thanks to the casting director. The chemistry between the two main characters Hande Erçel and Burak Deniz was just outstanding. I loved how they showed their Turkish traditional wedding cultures.Good thing I did was learn 2 or 3 Turkish words while watching this show and it'd have been really great if it gave out English subtitles for abroad viewers outside Turkey. I've enjoyed almost every episodes of it the blend of love romantic and fun with a good cast is something you don't that often and to me to discover such a show like it finding a gem. The cinematic views and how well this series was written is to be admired for. I am still not satisfied how early this TV show has ended, and my true intention of writing a review on it is just how badly I want a season 2 of it and continuation of 32 episode. My friends and family from home and abroad they want more of this show Ask laftan anlamaz. Ask laftan anlamaz is one emotional and beautifully written show. Urge for season 2 still remains! Sleepless nights ahead can't get enough of Hayat and Murat.

Hayat and Murat love story - A wonderful dream
mkmani-9043816 January 2017
Hi, I am from India and come to know about this most amazing love series through youtube accidentally. We (Me and my wife) are watching this series from the beginning and we are in love with this love story. We like the main character Hayat and Murat so much that we are discussing their performance. They have amused us. Not only the main character, others supporting characters are also doing great job. The emotions are like we can feel them. It's really wonderful and we even now watching the series with English subtitles and we now understand some Turkish words. Great job done by the complete crew members. Thanks.

Love the show ! Hande Erçel did an amazing job as Hayat !!
pgdbmtimes7 August 2021
I was randomly recommened few videos on Youtube and gave it a shot. I would start with my favorite character in the show Hayat Uzun Hande Erçel has done a commendable job and I could not take my eyes off him the whole time. The way Hande has played Hayat's character made it so relatable that I literally got emotional seeing her happy/sad while watching the show. She is really beautiful and a complete package in terms of acting. Chemistry between Hande Ercel and Burak Deniz as Hayat and Murat is the reason this show is loved so much. They really make a very good couple. The show is really interesting and addictive with so many twists and turns in a romantic comedy. All the other characters have done a great job too for example Tuval played by Demet Gul is again a very impressive performance. Background music is another thing that will be stuck to your mind once you start watching it. I watched Pyar Lafzon me kahan on Youtube which is dubbed version of ala too but realized that many scenes were edited out. I love the show even more now. Great job ALA team All cast especially Hande Erçel as Hayat Uzun, Demet Gul as Tuval, Script writers, Directors, Producer, Stylist, Music directors and Crew members. I really wish we get to see Season 2 soon. I am really hannyI was recommended Ask Laftan Alnamaz (Pyar Lafzo Kahan).

The story is fantabulous...
chennabathniashwin8 February 2017
This story is one of the best i've ever watched. I was going through youtube when i saw some songs with the artists working in this serial, so i had to surf and gone through the episodes. It's such an wonderful fantabulous love story that i've seen all the episodes in a day forgetting that i dint even have my food dat day and i was so sad at the end of the latest episode by the twists n turns in the story. But, Hayat N Murat had given there best in the serials and the love story was so real that i feel "If dis kindf love exists in this world every couple wudbe happy and i feel depress that i couldn't get dis kindf love in my life. Best direction and two actors performed v.well as if they were really in love. I can't express how happy and blush i was watching this love story. God Bless. :-)

Loved the series. Burak Deniz nailed it as Murat.
powerpuffgirldexter2 July 2021
I was randomly recommened few videos on Youtube and gave it a shot.

I would start with my favourite character in the show Murat Sarsilmaz. Burak Deniz has done a commendable job and I could not take my eyes off him the whole time. The way Burak has played Murat's character made it so relatable that I literally got emotional seeing him happy/sad while watching the show. He is really handsome and a complete package in terms of acting.

All the other characters have done a great job too for example Tuval played by Demet Gul is again a very impressive performance. Background music is another thing that will be stuck to your mind once you start watching it.

I watched Pyar Lafzon me kahan on Youtube which is dubbed in Urdu but realised that many scenes were edited out. So I am now watching it in Turkish with english subs and I love the show even more now.

Great job ALA team All cast especially Burak Deniz as Murat, Demet Gul as Tuval, Script writers, Directors, Producer, Stylist, Music directors and Crew members.

I really wish we get to see Season 2 soon. I am really happy I was recommended Ask Laftan Alnamaz (Pyar Lafzon Me Kahan).

At first it was great, but then I thought what the heck is wrong with this world
gjana-1934415 April 2021
Warning: Spoilers
So at first I had to force myself through the first couple of episodes, because I found Hayat quite uncapable and almost unsimpethetic. But then I saw her character development, how she started being good at what she does and how she wanted to stand her own ground, and of course it was stupid of her not to tell Murat anything, but that was the essance of the show. Murat was a pretty good character to, he had an emotional background story and was suitable for the role of the handsome, bossy rich guy. Then the whole truth-marriage-move together thing happens and I was seriously impressed by the "psychological" approach the show took then. It captured very well what toxic relationships are like and how love influences them, and I could understand why Murat acted the way he acted, but I could also understand why Hayat got offended and afterwards rejected him too. BUT THEN something happend. I can't exactly tell what episode, probably around episode 25, but at some point Murat went from "I'll cook us some dinner" to "get up and make me some breakfast! ". I know he was supposed to be a little bossy, but then he started always just yelling orders at her, like "stay in the car!", he would violently force her to do things (e.g. Pulling her by the arm and pushing her into the car), he started taking her phone to control her calls and texts and eventually LITERALLY takes her phone and throws it away because he doesn't like other guys calling Hayat. Murat constantly calls her stupid and dump, even though he is the one not capable of dealing with his aggression, he starts breaking things and even hurts Hayat to the point where she is even SCARED of him, you can see her flinch every time he raises his arm. And now my favorite part: Hayat puts on a pretty dress and Murat goes like "Oh yeah no, you're not gonna wear that I don't want you to show that much skin, I'll choose something for you to wear." I know that the women's rights movement in Turkey is not as developed as in other countries, but COME ON, DOES THIS NOT UPSET ANYBODY? And I would mind this character development at all, if its purpose would supposed to be how dangerous toxic rationships can be and how some people should start reflecting their own behavior, but the show STILL PORTRAYS MURAT AS PRINCE CHARMING. Now, don't get me wrong, it's still a great show and for some reason I still want Murat and Hayat to be together, but these people are role models for youngsters all over the world, and this is not what a man should act like in a relationship.

An incomplete Drama without a proper ending.
renison0077 February 2019
The acting is alright but writing is really bad. Many new Characters are introduced without any background and their stories are left unfinished. The ending is a huge disappointment.

Payar Lafzoon Main Kahan (Ask Laftan Anlamaz)
sayamasjad27 May 2020
One of the refreshing TV series that we rarely find. Actors Burak Deniz (Murat) and Hande Erçel (Hayat) have a done a fabulous job while playing their characters. The role of Hayat is breath-taking. The scenes of love, care, friendship, fight, angriness, understanding, all are too much amazing. The chemistry of the characters is insane! Hayat is so much innocent and lovable. Murat has a classy personality. All the supporting characters are fabulous and we keep enjoying the show with them. I wish there would be a second part of this series because there are number of questions that remains unanswered or mystery.

  • Why Murat's mom left him?
  • What Nijat and Azmi did to her so that she left Murat?
  • Where did Nijat gone?
  • What happened to Murat's real brother?
  • What happened to Ghazal who murdered Murat's mother?
  • How Doruk and Asli made up together?
  • If Doruk is not from Sarsilmaz family then where did he came from?
  • What happened to Tuval and Jamil love?
  • What happened to Dhariya? This character is an antagonist since episode 1 to final but no ending for her?

I will miss the romance of Both. Urdu song of this Drama is just fabulous.

I Love It... But I Shouldn't
sabrinafranklinkm20 February 2020
Warning: Spoilers
This show is pretty good, I would even say amazing. But what makes me rate this show so low is the complete toxicity of the main characters relationship. Don't get me wrong, a twisted part of me actually enjoys this, but I am also old enough to know that that whole relationship is full of red flags. But if I was a 13 years old girl and I watched this, I might have even idolized their relationship and ignored similar red flags in my own relationships because this show showed this completely in love couple acting like this. Lying from Hayat, and Murat shows so many signs of abuse, especially emotional abuse. Like I said, I can enjoy this show, and I enjoy watching love interests go through some pain. I LOVE angst. But this is definitely a very bad way to show off a relationship.

Furthermore, I do think that the ending was a bit rushed. The show made this big thing on dragging out problems, and then in the very end they wrap it up so fast that it didn't feel natural. I do enjoy the show, I even recommend it.

Very Typical
suncle3 February 2017
This is my first ever-Turkish series, which I accidentally stumbled upon. I can't help writing a review after the emotional trauma caused by the drama. This show should be rated for PG13-17, as it can only impress teenage minds. So lets start with the character of Murat Sarslimaz, who is walking straight out of imagination. A perfect gentleman (so rare to find). A filthy rich man who is hardworking, intelligent, successful and somewhat stiff, falls head over heels in love with his assistant's assistant (which I thought was a funny job title). As it turns out that the girl was lying the whole time and she faked her resume leave Murat heart broken. But despite all of it he goes ahead and marries that girl (truly a man of his words) Burak Deniz has played the role with such finis that you start liking the role of Murat. (That is otherwise a very clichéd character.) Most of the situations are far from reality. To top it off the girl playing the role of Hayat (Hande Ercel) looks more like a runway model in each scene than a simple country girl. The character written for her confuses the viewer the most. Not sure what the writer of the play really had in mind. This is the character that is lying but demands absolute honesty and truthfulness from her boyfriend/husband in the drama (like seriously). She can't stand that Murat is lying about Didem while her whole existence is a fraud. The writer has made her the most self centered, egoistic person in the play. She can't stand anyone in front of her own happiness. If the writer was trying to build a strong, confident and outspoken girl character, he has completely failed in doing so. The girl is epitome of lies and deceptions. The actress lacks expressions whenever she has to act sad. (Wrinkle phobia may be) She is always dolled up whether sleeping or waking up. Murat's character for a viewer changes from lovable to likable to now tuned into a pathetic angry man who throws tantrum on everything. The love of his life Hayat instead of being his strength is a source of all the pain. It seems like everyone around Murat is either lying or hiding stuff form him hence the show name should be changed to "POOR MURAT" OR"SUFFERINGS OF MURAT". What kind of love Hayat really has for Murat? The man found his mom after years in a hospital. Ask Hayat to come back in his life and she refuses (like seriously her ego is the biggest) and what kind of a loser the hero is still running behind her. (Enough already YATASH (my favorite Turkish word)) If not for very natural acting of Burak Deniz the role written is pretty cheesy and far from reality where husband and wife are playing cat and mouse ☹ Tuval (Demetgul) and Derya both have done justice to their roles. Rest is average. Only dad was left who didn't lie to Murat seems like in future episodes that will also change.

It is my best show
surveye5 January 2019
This story is a light romantic comedy show which i had to say that is MAGICAL.. i never get bored watching it again and again.. Burak Deniz acting as Murat is a handsome, talented & professional actor. Hande Erçel acting as Hayat is beautiful and sensual. They made a stunning couple and the chemistry between them is so electric and un-breakable. The whole cast was perfect too. I recommend this show so much and i would like to see another reunion between this beautiful couple.

kmercadorivas29 October 2020
Clichés, awful performances, so tecnhical kisses from the leading couple that looks so weird. The leading actress's perfomance is overrated, she is just 1 point from 10. Burak Deniz is the only thing you can enjoy.

Great show but not excellent
rohangupta9622 September 2018
As the show goes on the series goes from irresistible to average. The characters have done excellent work and Tuval portray excellent expressions. No doubt Hayat and Murat have done excellent work. The writer is not clear about what to show. Eg: Every time Hayat says she doesn't have a descent dress but finally manages to have a dress which looks expensive and everytime she has new dress. Also, in the entire series she was given work to work as translator for only once and no one really checked if she can translate all those languages. When she didn't have those capabilities written in CV, no one doubted her even once. Father of Hayat never called her to ask how is her life going on? This is because every time her mom says she will tell everything to her dad. Murat is displayed as a perfect gentleman who never speak lie to anyone but every one has lied to him. Also, he has not been with girls so he doesn't know how to express his love to Hayat and was confused. But with Deedam he had expressed love and had sex because of which he was confused whether it was his child or not. Nizat is a very good father, everytime his answer his what can we do to this situation! If you watch this show without asking for logic then it is excellent show 10/10. But show how many times it is illogical.

The Most Beautiful Face & The Best Romantic Story I've Ever Watched
monjurshokal18 March 2017
no wonder this is the best romantic drama i have ever watched on TV. Murat is so cute and adorable and Hayat is also very much beautiful. they are such a cute couple. their chemistry, physic, acting skills, expressions, look, style, dressing everything is just up to the mark. just perfect and unique. the most wonderful thing that i like is the character of Murat and Hayat and their nice look. Murat is so innocent, calm and quiet, also not less romantic. and Hayat so joyful and emotional. they make a perfect couple..

but it is painful for me that this series has now end, yet i didn't complete watching it. in fact i started watching it some weeks ago. i am still at 9th episode, and the show is been pulled off air. i want season 2 of this series. the show is also very much popular in our country Bangladesh, also very much popular in other countries too. so we hope and pray, soon we will get season 2 of Ask Laftan Anlamaz and again watch the beautiful faces of Murat and Hayat.. <3 <3
