I like this show a lot more than Insecure. Nicole is just so WAY OUT FRONT and doesn't care what ANYONE THINKS!! :D I loved the episode with her Wigs, they're like her babies. Ha hahaha This show was just fun to watch what she would do next.

It definitely deserves a rating higher than 5.5/10, I give it an 8 it's different and funny. It's not built around completely predictable and cliché conflict. Nicole is confident, funny and not afraid to say some gross jokes :D I really like that the characters are willing to talk to and confront each other about issues and are mature enough to apologize for being diva's or jerks, it's very refreshing. It's also just fun to get a look into the life of a struggling actor!
Best TV Comedy since Roseanne

I cannot watch '2 Broke Girls' 'New Girl' 'The Mind Project' etc etc etc. This is real comedy breaking all stereotypes, except for the Gay character who is a phallocentric mincer but is still great to watch. I love 'The Big Bang Theory' but this is so FRESH! It's the 'Roseanne' of its generation. Yes there are a few moments that are culturally uncomfortable and highly risky but even these moments are much more creative than the usual bland flotsam that passes for comedy on our boxes. Nicole Byer is a great talent. She plays the main character perfectly. I imagine she will become a major talent. Some comments, reviews and critic reviews are so negative. Which I don't understand as this is much better than most stuff on the TV today.

Nicole is Fresh and Funny, I love the writing on this bawdy upbeat comedy, Nicole's character has a strong sense of self and sexuality that leaves you with a real positive outlook on her world. It is an acceptance on behalf of big gals everywhere.I love that she is so happy with herself and her size. She gives a feeling of freedom to think its possible to be happy with ourselves instead of seeing the unrealistic picture the world is painting for us over size 12!! Love this show.. want more more more. The friends in her group are wonderful too, Devin is so sassy funny ..I love him. Guest stars like Cynthia Stevenson, French Stewart and Sticky Fingaz Brilliant! I want Nicole and Devin to hang out at my house!!!Please do another season.

If you're expecting Nailed It Nicole Byer then you're going to be disappointed and probably shocked and appalled by the content here. This is a great idea of what she's like live. She's bawdy, she's raunchy, she's more than a little sassy, and she's funny as Hell. We laughed constantly while watching this series and I was sad when we finally reached the end. I highly recommend giving it a viewing if you need a good laugh and enjoy this style of humor.
