How Many Subplots Can One Show Have?
Hitchcoc23 June 2018
While it would take a program to keep the characters straight, everyone is accounted for in some way. What I wasn't ready for was the reason for the murders and the perpetrators. Who could have thought there could be so much going on on a couple of farms that ultimately led to what happens in the end. This show needed a couple more episodes, so the principle characters could have been developed a bit. For one example, the guy who confesses initially never really has a satisfying reason for doing so. There are a couple of tiresome histrionics as well that go on forever. Nevertheless, it is pretty good prescriptive storytelling.

Adam and Grace
Prismark1016 September 2018
You have to hand it to the Williams brothers to neatly resolve this mystery in this strong concluding finale.

John Lynch shines as Bill Douglas, his world is crumbling as he learns of his wife's affair with the farm manager he fired, Alistair. Bill verbally lashes out at Alistair's wife angrily.

However it is not the first time that Moira Douglas has been unfaithful to her husband. She also had an affair many years ago with Peter Elliot, the father of murdered Adam. Peter never made it to Scotland, having walked into the path of a truck. Peter knew some past even has come home to roost.

A melodramatic episode, where the culprit confesses all and the reasons why Adam and Grace died.

The sub plot of the bent police officer is not forgotten and the reasons why she acted the way she did.

Unexpected

I definitely did not see the ending coming, which was interesting to watch unfold. I expected more of the storyline to be weaved together, but they wrapped up separately. Good acting and cinematography.
