How, this far into the 21st century, does a film like this get made? And the funny part is there is a review written by the director of this film.

Saw this on a dvd. An awful movie. I didn't complete the film. There was nothing redeeming about this tripe. This is worse than Manos the hands of fate. Fast forwarded some gross scenes.

One of the worst films I have ever watched.

Warning: Spoilers
This review might have some comments which could be considered a spoiler but the only thing spoiled is this movie.

This could be the worst film I have ever tried to watch. It is so bad that I finally turned it off not even a third of the way into it. There are unlikable characters being played poorly by actors who need to go back to school. The plot, if you can call it a plot, is a miss mash of scenes with little continuity. The spaceship set looks like a wall covered with aluminum foil and lit with lava lamps. The spaceship is is occupied by a lady dressed like a slut and another alien gray creature always hidden by a black robe. There is gratuitous and senseless flirting, sex and blood, lots of blood usually coming out of the victim's vagina. There was one scene where the lady peed for for over a minute while in a field and they showed nearly all of the pee pouring out of her. This movie is an insult to old fashioned science fiction B-Movies. It is an F-Movie. This definitely is not a comedy. There is nothing funny in it. And it is no movie for children and you might want to have your teen age children skip it also. OMG! This movie is terrible.

The funny side of alien abduction
mikehaberfelner13 July 2017
If ever you've laughed about a conspiracy theory and/or find alien abduction stories a bit ridiculous ... you'll probably find at least something to laugh about in Abduction, and likewise if you like your science fiction with a grain of salt, or are just into slightly odd comedy. Basically, this is a movie that pokes good fun at the whole alien abduction myth (and it's science fiction roots and branches), with some jokes being a bit on the crude and puerile side, others quite sophisticated, with quite a bit of slapstick and sight gags thrown in just for good measure - and the outcome is a quite weird mish-mash that works quite beautifully thanks to a stringent story that's still full of surprises and a competent ensemble that doesn't overdo it while obviously being in on the joke.

Basically, just sit back and enjoy!

Funny and dark

This low budget comedy is very different to the other films I've watched by mol smith , it was interesting to see him do a comedy. I thought it was a hilarious mix of slapstick comedy and light gore. I loved the joke when the aliens made the queen dress in a slutty nun costume as " every day wear " ( and the baby scene was definitely my fave !). It's not a Hollywood action film and if your expecting this you probably won't enjoy it . For a small in depending film I thought the cg was great and obviously took a long time !! It's got adult humour and dark jokes and is full of bafoonery ! I thought it was great mix of sci fi , comedy and sex ( though not dominantly as some other reviews make it out to be ) I have a soft spot in my heart for this film as I think it's a complex theme to try and conqour on an indie budget and I think they did it wonderfully. Think scary movie meets Benny Hill.

Definitely worthwhile

For me art isn't just about churning out what moviegoers have come to expect. Rather, good art challenges. And this flick certainly challenged me.

If any topic is appropriate for going out of a limb, artistically speaking, it is this one---alien abductions. So to critique the film because it's not 'gone Hollywood,' well, that would be pretty facile.

I watched a complimentary review copy so some might think I didn't pay for it and just want to give this film a nice gloss to keep more films coming in for my blog. B.S. I paid for it. If anyone ever tries to write a full review, they'll soon discover it's quite a bit of work. Not free. And for the record, I have no formal connection with any of the cast or crew.

As I told the contact for this film, I don't like the star rating system. So my lack of a star rating for this flick only means I don't think it would be appropriate to try to simplify this film down to a number. Art is more complicated than that.

Anyhow, I've written enough. Watch the movie and find out for yourself if it conveys deeper meaning or not. For me, it does. :)

Er.. this is a horror comedy
molsmith1310 July 2017
The reviewer who gave away so many key moments in this film has done nothing but show his/her total misunderstanding of the film. He should look up the word Pastiche. His/her review is entirely inaccurate and is a complete misrepresentation of a neat and entertaining film.

No vaginas are ever seen and the film is entirely within the scope of teenagers to watch and enjoy. It is a fun film where anyone who has a dark sense of humour will get it. If you prefer linear, and hackneyed story lines and repeated big studio 'aim at the biggest audience and don't tell a great original story' type of movie, then no - this is probably not for you. Why do people who cannot understand what a movie is doing, broadcast their utter stupidity publicly?
