I don't understand

What...happened...to this show? Last year, it was hilarious. This year, 3 episodes in and not one laugh. Not...one. Did they think it wouldn't get picked up for a second season so they let all the writers go from the first season? Nate was stupid first season, but it was mostly well intentioned stupidity...this season, he's just a moron. Natalie Zea was the, somewhat, voice of reason...this season, she's maybe two steps above Nate. What happened?

Sex ed continued

Warning: Spoilers
Season 1 of The Detour already tested the limits of good taste, messiness, and sex ed for pre-teens. This episode brings this to a new level. First, Robin and Nate try to have a quickie in their new apartment, only to be disturbed by her daughter.

The horror continues when they meet their neighbors to let the racial healing begin, as the self-defined mediator puts it. After a series of awkward party exchanges, Nate provokes the surprising birthing.

Just let's say the last part combines the narratives: a coitus interruptus, a very slimy and no less bloody birth, inadvertently witnessed by the kids, capped by, well, something unexpected popping out when you're not expecting anymore.

For the whole Parker family, the episode is sort of a catharsis sending a calming tune to this very entertained viewer.
