I have been interested in this case for a long time, and done a lot of research and reading on the Macdonald case. I was a child when the miniseries Fatal Vision came out on television, and I remember being so upset as a 5 year old, realizing for the first time that fathers could actually kill their families. It was haunting.
I had high hopes for this documentary, but felt this piece was incredibly biased toward Jeffrey Macdonald. Only his side of the story was told, with his friends, attorneys, and family. Nothing from the prosecutors, Colette's family or friends, or any of the forensic specialists was discussed. I would have liked it to be a more balanced piece of reporting, rather than regurgitating the years of rumor and half truth spread by Macdonald's many defense lawyers.
