Cropped (2016)
*** (out of 4)
This one minute short from Alex J. Mann is a one joke film but it works. A woman is sitting with her laptop looking at her pictures when she decides to crop her friend out of the picture.
I won't spoil what happens but I thought it was pretty funny in a dark way. Once again Mann has taken technology and put a spin on it and once again it works. I went through a handful of his films in one sitting and I must admit that I thought they were well-made and rather intelligent. So many short films of today lack any imagination but that's certainly not the case with Mann. Again, I won't spoil the joke here but it's quite funny.
