That was funny, mysterious, and an unexpected turn of the events when you start watching it. I liked it and although I do not think of it as a movie the short left me satisfied enough to make a review to spread the word. No that amount of Horror, though.

A Christmas-Horror Mockumentary Saturated With Dark Humour.
meddlecore22 November 2022
The Grot In The Grotto is a short, mockumentary style, Christmas horror, about the recruitment of homeless people, for the sole purpose of fashioning them into department store santas.
After being lured in with the promise of a hot meal.
A group of elves then continue to force feed these down and out souls, to fatten them up.
Before offering them a deal with the devil (here, in the form of Santa, as opposed to Satan).
This deal entitles them to a job over the festive season.
After which they are thrown back onto the streets, to survive until the next winter holiday rolls around.
Saturated with dark humour, it's a rather fun little Christmas short, even if it only mildly qualifies as horror.
But certainly worth a watch, at only about 6 minutes in length.
5 out 10.

Bitter humor, explanation for a phenomenon, exploration of legend and the subtle critic against consumerism. A film about Santa as result of the cold pragmatic politic with few social sides. Homeless becoming the most succesfull character of the Christmas. The fine part - the mix of conspiracy theories and a sort of demithysation. The not nice side- the irony about old belief. But the film, using cliches, woorks in decent manner. And, maybe, this is the most important film. Short, it reminds the teenagers vision about a sort of cruel help to the poor people.
