Tim gets in way over his head and his horny wife just complicates his predicament
Ed-Shullivan2 March 2019
I loved this first episode and how we are first introduced into this shows mysterious yet comedic band of regular series characters. Tim's wife Sandy recently had a baby so she has been more than a bit cranky lately so Tim decides to get a babysitter and take Sandy to a cottage resort. Sandy is in no mood (at first) for sex and she demands that Tim get her a humidifer from the nearest Bed Bath and Beyond store which is an hour drive away. While driving back with Sandy's new humidifier Tim notice's a local titty bar establishment so he decides to make a quick pit stop and get a private dance from the hefty local stripper Vivian which ends up as expected with Tim getting a happy ending.

Little does Tim know that Vivian has had her stepson Frank video tape their intimate experience in the private dance room and now Tim is panicking that his wife will find out about his little impromptu strip club sexcapade.

The Guest Book is where Tim writes/narrates what this storyline is about and the half hour sitcom was over before Mrs. Shullivan and I even knew it was finished too quickly. We want more and more guests going to this cottage resort and hear more comedic stories. It's a great little hidden gem that should be a must see.

It is both unique and hilarious.

Warning: Spoilers
I am glad to see Garret Dillahunt make an appearance, even if it wasn't a big one here. He deserves more time on The Mindy Project and maybe he'll get that here.

I'm not a huge Danny Pudi fan, but he was fine here. Lauren Lapkus was a little too over the top, but her bitter wife character did have a certain appeal to it.

It wasn't a great pilot, but it was something a little different.
