It has the humor and the national spirit of the swedish people. It really shows why Swedish filmindustry is blomming.

A group of campers inadvertently disturbs a gathering of devil worshippers and get hunted around the woods. They call the special forces who show up to help with the situation.

The reviewers claiming that this movie changed their lives are of course totally serious. Nah, kidding, this was not meant to be a thought-provoking film. You can tell a bunch of friends made it, because everyone on screen is the same age. The camera was likely a consumer grade camcorder. The high ratings are for the entertainment value and not because it revolutionized cinema or anything.

It's low-budget, but I wouldn't call it bad. It's made with a lot of (intentional) humor. It's like a Swedish Bad Taste with devil worshippers instead of aliens. There are some cool-looking practical effects, for example when people get shot, and when a guy's head is smashed in with a giant club. There are even several explosions (real, not digital). The filmmakers were quite creative, and I enjoyed seeing what action sequences they could pull off with the resources they had.

There is room for improvement. The story is as simple as it gets. Character development? Don't make me laugh. They don't always follow filmmaking rules, so someone walking to the left could be walking to the right in the next shot. However, despite, or maybe sometimes because it's shortcomings it will be great fun to those who are into low-budget or rare movies.

You can tell they had a blast making this. It's the crazy film you talked about making with your friends, but never got around to. What I learned from this masterpiece is that with the power of Satan, you can accomplish anything! Microsoft Paint might also help.

Now you are probably thinking you have to get the Special Edition 4K Blu-ray. At the time of writing the officially available versions are the DVD version and DivX. I recommend the DVD version for the higher resolution, but it's missing an opening short film included in the DivX version.

This swedish classic combines the occult with insane levels of action. Insane special effects, no CGI!

Before i saw this cinematic masterpiece my life had no meaning, i was depressed. I saw no meaning in life, but one day a miracle happened. When i was at my lowest my therapist gave the dvd to me and said "I have failed you as a therapist, this is the only thing that can save you now". I must admit i was sceptical at first, but thought i had to watch it. But before i could even put the movie on i heard a knock at the door. I went to open my door and outside stood my landlord, he said i was evicted. I was truly crushed and i had to live on the streets. When i lived on the streets every day a gang of crocodile gangsters would beat the crap out of me. But one day when they tried to rob me of my most prised possesion, my Djävligt Jagad blueray dvd, i went into a primal rage. I delivered a kick to the crocodile gang leader's jaw and it shattered. I was now crocodile king but i got a message that i was late for work and fired, my career at McDonalds was over. I went to my landlords house to demand my apartment back and he said yes, he told me that he was mind controlled by the crocodile king. I gave him a big sloppy kiss and we married. Everyone was at the wedding: Michael Jackson, Michael Jordan, Magic Michael (Magic Mike for short), Michael Vsauce. But i relised quickly that we were at the wrong party, it was a Michael only party. Me and my husband fled and the horde of michaels. We ran and ran until we hid in a pizzeria. We asked the pizzaman what we should do to defend ourselves from the michaelhorde. He answered that the only way to become immune to the michaels is to be circumcised by pizza cutter. Me and my husband was devastated but we did it anyway. It was a very cute moment. Later we called a taxi and it drove to our real wedding. Our priest was a man that looked like Michael Jordan but he asssured us that his name was Jichael. We got married and during the wedding i played the Djävligt Jagad blue ray dvd, and the second i looked at the glorious title sequence i ascended to the astral plane. I have now gained enlightened and have trancended death. I can now watch this cinematic masterpiece forever. Cool movie 10/10.

It's the best its just the best. Their is no other way to put it.

Just because you have a low budget it doesn't mean you have to make a bad movie. And a high budget doesn't mean you can make a good movie. If you love what you're doing and consider film an art form instead of a just a way to make money, it doesn't really matter how much money you can spend on your movie and I can think of several low budget movies that are way better than many high budget productions.

With that said, I don't mean this specific Swedish movie called Djävligt jagad (also known as A Hell Of A Hunt) is a masterpiece in any way. But considering the facts that this is a low budget movie it's actually pretty good. It is also very self-aware, which is one of this movies strength.

My first thought when I started watching this movie was that it seems like a bunch of guys decided to make a movie just for fun and you can actually tell they're having fun both behind and in front of the camera. This movie contains action and gore combined with som elements of the horror genre but I consider this being 85% comedy, 10% horror and 5% action.

Where many movie makers have failed, the masterminds behind Djävligt Jagad has succeeded. In this majestic and epic action comedy, you won't be able to stop the storm of emotions this movie imbues you with. This small Swedish film studio has simply created a masterpiece worth watching over and over again.

Very very good, watch it. The first half of the movie is a bit slow and not too eventful, but eventually when the actual movie starts, it starts. Nonstop action and gore, done in probably the best way possible.
