I'm enjoying this short lived series very much, and all episodes I've watched so far have been intriguing, interesting and entertaining - as good as some of the good old days of Law and Order SVU, which I watched since season 1. This episode though, is a complete waste of everyone's times. A judge completely ignoring and overturning a decision made by the jury because she wouldn't see any other outcome other than the crime of which the accused is being charged for not being applicable. This could have been a 15 min episode, or an email... Why was this allowed to proceed to court? Why would so much public funds and people's time be invested in something if the judge had already made up her mind?
The overall show is strong, with a fantastic cast and good acting, but this episode could have been skipped altogether because it's just point less.
