This great movie was a really fun watch. With so many romantic/nice vampire flicks out there, was really great to see something new with an edge. You can see director Rakeem J.H. Lawrence's love for the horror genre. Once Father John goes to the cemetery, look out all hell is breaking loose.. Looking forward to more from this director and the rest of the anthology to come.

It's amazing what people can do outside the studio system. This vampire film has the feel of the old hammer flicks while borrowing mythology from some top vampire films of today. This movie was made by a horror fan for horror fans you can feel the love that went into making. This is a film maker worth keeping an eye on

Writer/director/producer, Rakeem Jh Lawrence's "The Date" stands out from the multitudes of vampire films released with its intriguing premise. It is an engaging and unsettling solid effort from the DIY independent horror genre, and I look forward to seeing more of Rakeem Jh Lawrence's films!

I thought The Date Is a very cool indie vampire movie. It was interesting to see the story and how it plays out. I like how the move kept me interested in what was going to happen next. I thought Lucinda was a interesting character. I also liked Lucinda's vampire army. If you get a chance watch The Date.
Freaked Out.

This movie isn't the modern day cgi laden films that we've all grown tiredof. The Date is a well written, creatively worked roller coaster. I enjoyed every single minute of it.
It has an old school feel to it, without being campy.
I'm not giving any details about the movie, but it's a must watch for people who enjoy a film made for horror fans by horror fans.
Purchase a copy to keep these types of films going.
Lord knows we need it.
