Warning: Spoilers
The old familiar tragic story of a murder for revenge, but this one from the beginning proved hard to prove until Danny sees something in sketches. Look out for the rainy days. What jury would probably convict a man for murdering the person who years before killed the man's wife and child in an auto accident? They really should have shown the actual jury trial and called the episode Justification.

Anthony is reluctant to wear a wire against a friend who has been dealing with the Russian gangsters and Frank is told by his assistants that he is keeping Jamie back from advancing in the department due to the ongoing fear of being labeled nepotism.

Jamie's response to all this is quite valiant. He wants to remain where the action is so that he can benefit society. With his many talents and Harvard Law Degree, he could aid in different ways.

A sympathetic defendant
bkoganbing14 July 2017
In this Blue Bloods story Marissa Ramirez asks the question "do we always have to do our jobs so well?" That's because she and Donnie Wahlberg hate putting away this defendant.

In their place so would you. They collar Robert Sean Leonard a recent widower who lost a wife and child when a drunk driver mowed them both down and sped away. He got no justice because a smart lawyer got him off.

Because of 9/11 we are spied on everywhere and a surveillance camera caught a shadowy figure knife the drunk driver and then deliberately tried to make it look like a robbery. That's what his action told Wahlberg and Ramirez.

But a strange karma is at work here and the two detectives try to see some cosmic justice is done.

Anthony Abatemarco is seen outside on Foley Square talking to an old neighborhood pal who owes some big bucks to Russian mobsters in Brooklyn. They have him working the debt out after a fashion. Bridget Moynahan upbraids him and wants him to gain his confidence and rat him out.

Being a rat goes against his upbringing, but Abatemarco is a smart guy and he finds a much better solution all around.

Robert Sean Leonard is compelling as sympathetic collar and Abatemarco shows another reason why he's my favorite on the show.

Another Great Episode!

Warning: Spoilers
You've gotta love this show, these stories, this family. The show came out of the blocks really strong back in

2010. And it's only gained steam ever since. This show touches on sensitive topics quite frequently. They even include topics; political topics from time to time. And while I haven't really enjoyed those few instances where I think the writers were injecting politics. It hasn't soured me on this fine show. This is another episode where they really put me in a spot where I had to ask myself: Could I do that? One of the characters has to decide whether he can be involved in gathering evidence on a long time friend. As I'm writing this, and I think about my long time friends. I still don't know what I would do. And this dilemma is well handled in this story. But it is just a story and things don't always turn out in real life. Another story-line addresses the effects of family relationships as it applies to any family that may have large representation in any business. This was a good story! As we've gotten used to from this great cast.
