This was definitely the weakest ep of the season. People reacted/things happened for no reason other than "because". Imagine each plot point written on a stick, then all the sticks were thrown together to form a pile, and then superglued into place as-is. That's Amazing Grace. Still it was obvious this was supposed to beef up Nate's background/character, move Nate/Amaya further along (and therefore twisting the knife when their end comes?), and introduce the death totem. The ep was vaguely successful in that.
But thank goodness, Mick is still Mick. He and Axl were the best and possibly only interesting parts: Axl's name change, Mick's on-going kleptomacy, the funeral (although if Ray had been truly sincere, he would have worn black but props to him for his kind remembrance of his first meeting with the deceased), Mick/Axl's scenes (last one had me misty-eyed...), and the in memoriam (I could have done without that super close up of the dearly departed though).
Score: would have been 5 if it weren't for Mick and Axl: 7.5
