It's the humour that does it for me!

I really enjoy the blend of genres this show manages to balance (legal, political intrigue, romance, action, humour, pathos... etc) and I think it's actually the humour that really locks me in as a fan. In this episode I felt I saw two classic illustrations of the comedy craft. The DUI arrest of Francesca Lovatelli is one, when she is told to place her hands on the vehicle. The script line and the delivery timing could hardly have been bettered with her reply "Which one?". But the pearl for me here was the sequence of shots with the duck. I don't know whether it was the timing, the cinematography, or just natural comedic talent in that particular mallard (was it called Donald, by any chance? - that's an NCIS nudge!) but every time I watch that section with the patrol car stopped at the junction, I want to laugh out loud! This is an amazingly talented team, and I hope they hold together for a long time.

Day 436

Warning: Spoilers
This show continues to hit it out of the park almost every week this season and this one was no different.

When I saw the premise with Maia and Lucca doing a ride along I expected it to be an episode preaching about how awful police can be, but it wasn't quite that, as they put on display the human and emotional element of all matters.

I am not a Lucca and Colin "shipper" by any means so that final moment was meaningless to me, but the B story with the #MeToo accusation was well done as well.
