Excellent job

Warning: Spoilers
I understand why it was a short stint...Anna's character. It makes it more poignant and less 'Hollywood.' He knew what he was doing when he opened his heart to her. He is a risk taker and he hoped for a long time but deep down, he knew that the odds were against him. Taylor Kinney is an enjoyable actor to watch as he can bring across a lot in his acting. However, I think that this has been the best so far. Brought tears to my eyes as I truly felt his character's pain. Ana was lovely also.

The Episode That Hooked Me
lorinfink7 January 2022
This is the first episode of this show that I saw. This is the one that got me hooked on this show. From that time on, I have watched every episode, including binge watching the first four seasons on Prime Video. Unfortunately, Prime doesn't have any seasons beyond number four. I was able to find the discs at a local library, and I binge watched season five.

What got me going was the high drama, and the likability of the main characters and the reality of their lives and the incidents of their rescue missions. The scene with Kelly and Anna in the "Carry Me" episode, was well done, gripping, painful, and emotional. Chicago Fire is just another excellent Dick Wolfe drama.

About love and loss
jknousak30 July 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Well, this was very-well done, the interweaving of three stories of loss -- poignant, real and true. Taylor Kinney is wonderful in any episode, but here he truly shined. I just loved Anna's last words to him and how she helped him by sending him back to Ellie, played by seasoned wonderful character actress Jenny O'Hara. This is my favorite episode of the series, at least to this point in the series -- there's more to view.

I an not Bennie

Warning: Spoilers
No doubt every fan knew this episode was coming in Severide's quest to prove to himself that he's not Bennie. But this is a good episode with three concurrent stories dealing with loss. Most viewers won't recognize or know Jenny O'Hara who plays Ellie and has been acting on TV and film since 1968 and is still working as of 2020, and here she plays a woman who refuses to abandon her fire damaged house. Only Ellie's problem gets a resolution here; Severide still faces a long journey moving forward.

Running out of actors?
eacplc8 June 2017
Is the show running out of actors?, In Season 2, Gene Weygandt played Deputy District Chief Jones, father of Candidate Rebecca Jones, in this episode, the same actor plays Battallion Chief Moran. I know that the public's memory can be short, and I don't hold anything against Mr. Weygandt, but I honestly think that things like this make the audience to start loosing interest in the show. Please think about it.

Kelly and Anna
Cdolny-208-2743309 May 2017
Warning: Spoilers
Poor Kelly can't catch a break. So loved the characters of Kelly and Anna together. We got to see a vulnerable and completely different side to Kelly . Sadly, Anna's character was written off. Why bring in the character and have her die so quickly.? Sad day for everyone who has ever loved a cancer patient and lost the battle.
