Extraordinary.

Rations and moods are low, Mr Fitzjames devises a way to lift the moods, and prepare the men for what lays ahead.

This has me on the edge of my seat from start to finish, it seemed to take a dramatic turn after Mr Goodsir expressed a theory about why the crew are behaving so very strangely.

Extraordinary production values, it looks amazingly good, the scenes at the party, and subsequent tragedy all look phenomenal.

The presence of Lady Silence really does add something different.

9/10.

Didn't disappoint

Warning: Spoilers
The best episode yet. More slow-burning drama and character interplay followed by a ferocious climax. I was expecting something big to happen and this didn't disappoint in that respect.

A Mercy

This episode is a pretty wild ride.

Fitzjames thinks that the monster is dead. Only it's alive and Lady Silence wants to be connected with the monster. She cuts out her tongue.

With rations running out. Fitzjames resolves that the crew of the ship will need to walk to safety and it will be a long treacherous walk. However he sees the need to life his men's spirits by throwing a carnival.

It ends in tragedy. A fire rages as Dr Stanley has gone mad with lead poisoning in the food. He started the inferno.

The episode highlights the desperate plight now faced by the crew of both ships, HMS Terror and HMS Erebus.

They planned to march, now they are forced to. The events were not even started by the monster.

The inferno scenes and the ensuing panic were well filmed. Dr Stanley's fate as well as many others were grisly.
