Al-Moltaqa Alahadi private Screening
rajaaact20 December 2017
In collaboration with the Saudi Film Festival, the sun-day forum celebrate its 25th anniversary this year, at Al-Deraiya, Ryiadh, with a film screening, for four Saudi women filmmakers, including Halawa-Lollipop, for Hanaa Saleh AlFassi. The screening moderators are professor and writer/researcher Dr. Hatoon Ajwad Al Fassi and Saudi writer/director Hanaa Al-Omair.

"The screening of Lollipop was excellent and the feedback was more than positive. Hanaa Al Omair's analysis of Lollipop film was very good, especially when she talked about the difficulty of the choices, whether for black and white or for the songs and playing with the red color... The audience, which was about 60 women, was between their fascination with the story and their own memory of this phase or their daughters, and some considered it audacious. I asked why talking about the blood of women is audacious .. In fact, I forgot to mention how our distinguished clerics, has nothing better to talk about but the blood of women without any shame, and then when women talk about it, it's considered taboo. It's a very good choice for a film concept. Sexual Harassment took another dimension and was a long debate and its association with lollipops.

It was a new experience, especially watching four consecutive films, all written and directed by Saudi women with a focus on women issues. Congratulations for this accomplishment." Hatoon Ajwad Alfassi
