I actually got this game on a disc for the PS4, but I imagine that it is a download too as it is a relatively short game. It looked interesting, so I bought it and it proved to be a very entertaining game with a rather good story. It is a more story driven game as once you figure out how to stop the murders which occur in the game from happening, they are really not anything that will give you trouble on a second play through. Still, there are some things to find in the mansion and there are various secrets there and there.
The story has a priest awakening in the a mansion that is also a casino. Within its halls, the guests are being murdered in gruesome ways by the staff of the hotel! A strange bloody apparition starts you on the quest to save each of the guests from their fate as the day endlessly repeats. As you save them, the day starts over, but you gain a power from the mask the guests are wearing which help you delve deeper and deeper into the hotel and closer to solving the mystery!
The game play is sort of a stealth game as you must figure out how to save each of the guests in a indirect manner as you cannot be in the same room with the guests or the staff. If you do, the masks they are wearing come off and start chasing you and you either have to leave the room or end up starting the day over again. It is interesting figuring out what to do to save the guests, though it starts out rather mundane with a shotgun blast and then immediately jumps to monster spider!
So a very good game that is more story oriented. The game play is fun, but not much replay value unless it is just to see the story unfold yet again. I am betting that it is a download as it is short and the graphics look like a really good SNES game rather than a game on a new generation console, though I never minded graphics as long as the story is good and the game play is fun. It is here and it is a bit of a unique game too. So worth a look see.
