In some ways an uneven episode which shows why Count Arthur Strong can be such an acquired taste. It starts off brightly as Arthur sends a cold caller round the bend.
Michael is upset that Arthur has forgotten his birthday again. In fact Arthur and friends plan to take Michael out on a surprise trip to a safari park in an Austin Maxi.
The trouble is, Arthur has gone cheap again armed with some discount vouchers. John is dressed up as a schoolboy so they can enter on a family ticket with Birdie acting as mother. Eggy is hidden in the boot but the car is a death trap as it catches fire and they are left stranded outside the safari park with the lions as company.
It all gets too much for Michael's nerves as he rushes to have a date with Sinem.
