Muramba beautifully tells how to handle relationship that has continued for years but now may be looking as not working out. This refreshingly new story tells us the importance of completely opening up in front of our would-be partner so that he/she can help us in our journey of life. It nicely brings out the fact that parents are not completely alien to modern relationships and they can help it make stronger and remove unnecessary clutter. This is a must watch in your free time, may be with your loved one.

An interesting movie

I had been avoiding this movie for few years thinking it will be some overly unrealistic art film but it was pleasantly surprising.
Muramba is light hearted dramedy. It handles a very serious issue in entertaining way. The movie is fast paced for it's 2hour length and pacing is fantastic.
Although the film has 4 characters: Indu, Alok and Alok's parents, the crux of the story is about Alok and his relationship with them. Amey Wagh has showed the role with depth and his vulnerabilities are obvious after the story gets going. The standout performance is from Mithila Palkar. She has protrayed the character of Indu with a lot of grace. Few scenes with her bonding with Amey's parents are especially noteworthy.
A movie with good plot, likeable characters and ending which doesn't feel too moralizing. Good for casual watch 👍

Light-Hearted comedy with great acting

Muramba is a very sweet light-hearted movie to be enjoyed on a perfect lazy Sunday afternoon. Every actor in the movie needs to applauded. The acting is so natural and their timing and chemistry is impeccable. The entire course of the movie is just one day in the life of a typical maharashtrian family and is covered beautiful.
Kudos to the marathi film industry to generate such movies and hoping they continue to do so.

Superficial

A boy and a girl break up after a steady relationship of three years. The boy shares this with his parents and they take it upon themselves to set things right. When I thought that this is going to be a "happy happy nosy parents saving the day" story the story takes a turn and we explore the boy's insecurities about work and life.
The first half of the film is very slow and feels stretched. The acting is good and it's supposed to be a drama with a light comic touch. The cinematography is good and the screenplay gives a very good Pune colloquial feel.
But all these things feel too superficial and real life is much more tangled than this. Overall an okay film. Being a Marathi speaking guy I probably expect more from the filmmakers who make films in my mother tongue.

Message or no message
rahulgedam23 October 2018
Warning: Spoilers
Acting performances are brilliant. But what exactly is message or is their even a message is totally confusing. Alok is a bright guy who likes to do what he likes, but he is shown to be at mistake. Alok is good at many things, but he is not ambitious unlike his fiancee who is workaholic modern girl. So Alok is not sure what to do in life, this happens to be his mistake. Couldn't make any sense.
