Not everyone can just run out and purchase new materials for their fix these guys work with what they can get their hands on and get the job done. Alot of people can barely get a job done satisfactorily with every material not far away these guys make what they have work and work in amazing ways. This is the circumstances that we run into in "our neck of the woods" so I appreciate this show on numerous levels. It's definitely not your normal run of the mill mechanic show its got plenty of twists. These guys are coming to their little towns rescue one fix it job at a time. I love that they work on various jobs from rescue sleds to barges so you don't get burnt out on the same thing show after show. Not only do they have different jobs but the ways they end up getting the job done the techniques the materials are equally captivating. I can't wait for the next episode.

If you like brain dead, this is the series for you

Warning: Spoilers
I literally need to watch sesame street to start my IQ up again. Who ever thought this would be a good series should get off the drugs. It seems that the more 'reality' based car programmes that are dragged out the lower the actual brain cells needed to watch it.
I watched the first programme and all I can say is WHY?
Why did they need to make a half-arsed trailer that actually didn't do anything.
Why didn't they just tie the car to the loader?
Why did they dig the snow from the back wheels of the car for the loader but not the first garage 4wd,
Why did the idiot drive over the back half of the tow truck when that was the part they needed?
Why did they make this show. I ticked spoiler and I don't know why.
Sorry guys but these Canadian Rednecks need a wide berth, go watch something else.....anything else.
So Dumb

Really??

As a mechanic and fabricator this show makes me shake my head. Distributors from LS engines? Pulling brake pads out without actually removing the caliper?? "It's running on the prime we put in the carb...let's check the spark plugs?????" Is there any actual mechanical work taking place at all or do they just think people will believe anything. I honestly can't believe this show even made tv,obviously reality tv vehicle repair shows these days have nothing to do with actually repairing vehicles.
I really liked the show!

Worst Car Show Ever!

MotorTrend has hit the bottom with this pile of garbage. They must think the viewers are idiots. I gave this a one star and that's too high a mark. The garage motto is "Get Er Done" how original. What they do get done is show how bad television has got over the years. These so called mechanics are not qualified to build a erector set. I rather watch Gunsmoke reruns that Ive seen a thousand times. Cannot believe these people get paid big bucks for a show that should have been cancelled after one episode! Please put Fantom Works back on the channel. Now that show was Great the best crew and story lines. I will never waste one second watching this BS Last Stop Garage again.
total garbage

Just wonderful.

The banter between Leander and Ross is hilarious. They make me laugh out loud. Corey and Collin prove time and again that with a can-do attitude and a sense of humour, they can build anything.
They are the kind of people that make Labrador great!
A entertaining half hour that makes me laugh and smile.
Staged

Warning: Spoilers
Every scene is staged. It is easy to spot scripted scenes. Air boat with a broken fan screen and wood blades obviously they stuck something in the shroud and broke the fan and bent the wire. Fresh wood on the blades. Guy comes out in a bath robe and it already had duct tape on it to hide advertising. Horrible show that you must watch understanding that is is less real than the Brady bunch. A truck pulled off the wet road where no one would drive just so they can pull it out? Just watch if you think Beverly Hillbillies is a true story. The small dud is the clown of the show because he fits a typecast they tried to develop.
Bob and Doug MacKenzie do Alaskan Bush People

Warning: Spoilers
This show is clearly scripted. The people are real but they have help from the production crew. When the old men go scavenging for parts it's amazing how just the right part shows up hiding under a tree or a pile of junk. In season two they found a Crown Victoria front end with new tie rods under some junk at the yard. Possible? - yes. Probable? - no, especially with all the preaching about how scarce things are in Labrador. It's like the Alaskan Bush People preaching about how scarce things are in the bush while they run around with new tools and new clothes. (also a Discovery Channel program...hmm)
At least the characters are characters and quite charming (it's got to be the accents, eh?). This program is not to be taken two seriously. It is somewhere between The Red Green Show and Second City. It's like Bob and Doug MacKenzie had been binge-watching Vegas Rat Rods and reruns of Alaskan Bush People and said, "we can do that, eh". The show is entertaining. Just don't take it too seriously, you hoser.

ROAD KILL SURVIVES AND LAST STOP GARAGE IS AXED? eh?
simpsonmaildrop22 July 2022
Quarter-milers burning time nightly--back and forth, back and forth? Egotistical junk yarder proving his ideas are better than the rest of North America? Whoop-ti-doo! Assembling cars out of piles of metal even as Road Kill puts something together for themselves, not a commercial enterprise. All now in perpetual re-run. At least the Weather Channel provides local, relevant information, changing regularly.
There are too many repetitive Velocity series now. Give Labrador a free leash on Velocity.
