Hard to call this independent when it's better than most big budget films

I just got done watching this short film, and I absolutely loved it. The acting was a triumph, especially by the actors who played the germans (the soldier and the colonel), and the Brit. I loved everyone, the american too. The colonel was super convincing, which really got me immersed immediately. I could feel that uneasiness and instability that he has seeping through his pores. As a man who's father is Jewish, that is an important element to capture. That underlying sense of pure evil from the gatekeepers of WWII on the German side. The mentality of, "orders are orders." The cinematography was inspired. I loved it. The authenticity of the wardrobe, makeup, weaponry/props and location were amazing. It really did feel like war torn France, so well done. I even loved the water dripping from the ceiling into the cup, repeatedly. Always in the background, and alluded to throughout. To me it represented time still slowly moving forward. No matter what side you were on, good or bad, right or wrong... on the water drips all the same. The only thing I would've wanted from the short is for me to be cast in it! haha But in all seriousness, well done to the cast and crew of this short film. You all should be proud.

Absolutely impressive cinematography, great portraits of characters, wise use of symbols. And precise definition of the war. An admirable short war film in eac aspect , giving a powerful- gentle message, defining the essence of humanity, cold poetic. So, just great. The dripping water into cup remains the emblematic image.
