What the hell is this movie

Warning: Spoilers
There was one guy who said 'Osama Bin Laden' as a password to open the cave door. Why is he mentioning a terrorist in a kids movie?! Also, the animation is blurry and is always inconsistent. It feels more like I'm watching an Ubisaan game. There are characters who wear awfully strange clothes in Ancient Arabia. There's one guy who wore a freaking Batman t-shirt! This movie is scum. Avoid it as much as possible please.

I would just like to point out that at one point in the film, one of the characters says "Osama Bin Laden" I am dead serious.

a terrible masterpiece

This movie is terribly bad, meaning its so bad its good. The animation is extremely lazy, but I enjoy laughing at the imperfections. It's very boring due to the laziness but it's still funny. Only part in this movie I absolutely despise is when one of the characters has to remember a secret password to getting in and out of a closed cave. He forgets the secret word and instead says, "Osama bin Laden"...yea. Btw, I was sent by Saberspark on YouTube.

Lit. I recommend this for anyone who grew up watching Disney movies or to anyone who enjoys a good laugh with their friends. And this is on par.

Flawed but enjoyable

Warning: Spoilers
This animated adaptation of the classic Arabian Nights story of "Ali Baba and the 40 Thieves" is objectively terrible. I'm not going to dispute that. But even though "Ali Baba & the Gold Raiders" is a bad movie, I loved it. The animation was lazy, there were times when characters would monologue to the audience, there were times when lines would be repeated several times over (case in point: towards the end of the film, one of the bad guys pretends to be a zaitun oil trader so he can beat up Ali Baba for stealing gold from the Cave of Treasure. Ali Baba keeps saying something like, "My wife is called Zaitun and she loves to cook with zaitun oil. She loves cooking with zaitun oil so much that she calls herself Zaitun. I love my wife Zaitun's cooking that uses zaitun oil."), the walkcycles were awful, for some reason the Cave of Treasure containes Oscars, Wimbledon trophies, and Olympic gold medals as well as a walkie-talkie despite being set in medieval Arabia, bad guys wear Batman T-shirts and drink Coca-Cola, etc. There was even a time when Casa Baba (Ali's brother), after forgetting the magic word to make the door of the Cave open, says something like, "Abracadabra! Abracadabra! Araghba! Osama bin Laden! (which is infinitely stranger considering this movie was made in 2002) What's the magic word?" The pacing of the film is also terrible, as some scenes are dragged out for far too long.

Despite all of these flaws, I was never bored. "Ali Baba" is only 51 minutes in length and I was constantly laughing at the laziness of the film. I think everyone should watch this movie, but maybe just once.

A masterpiece.

When you first watch Ali Baba & the Gold Raiders on DVD, it gets your attention right away by depicting characters that the viewer is soon going to connect with that are going through some tough times. This movie describes the concept of true friendship and how to overcome your worst fears and enemies. It's one of my favorite movies of all time, right next to Norm of the North and The Room.
