Rather than trying to make a grand statement around the central themes, it is obvious that the filmmakers focused on getting the small things right - Repentance is short drama done well. The cinematography is notable and complements the uneasy tone of the film nicely. The acting is convincing, and one scene in particular is especially uncomfortable for the viewer, as intended.
