Hilarious parody of Star Wars films and fanbase
cocopunk148611 January 2018
The whole episode pokes fun at the whole Star Wars franchise and the fans. The Wattersons are trying to be first in line to see the latest "Star Odyssey" movie. The episode turns into a race to first place, complete with a marathon of references to the original trilogy. It's not the first time TAWOG has done this sort of episode, it's very structurally similar to "The Check".

But as per usual the pop culture references are what make it hilarious. It's definitely a must watch episode for fans of Star Wars, who'll hopefully enjoy all the nods as much as a fan like me did.

It's the best!

This is another fantastic episode because it's a perfect satire of "Star Wars". This show had parodied many other movies so it seems only suitable we'd do one for "Star Wars". Now this is satire as it mocks the "Star Wars" fanbase, but not much of the actual movies. This episode features the Wattersons waiting in line for the new "Star Odyssey" movie. They give hilarious descriptions of the franchise like how it's about a guy who kisses his sister. Well, there is another "Star Wars" movie coming up, but it's been like that for the past couple of years.

We just get hilarious bit after hilarious bit in this awesome episode. It's great to see some of the characters cosplaying too. I could just spend all day listing every great joke. One of the first great ones was Anais talking about having the power to spoil or not spoil and turning into an Emperor Palpatine parody. Chucky is an obvious stand in for Jar-Jar Binks and the jokes work well. We even get this pretty nice heartwarming moment at the end. Well, I've decided not to spoil this either but let's just say it's worth your time. ****
