A fine spectacle, one of Anderson's best

An electrifying and enthusiastic moment for Yes lead singer Jon Anderson while doing a solo flight, in "Hold on to Love" he brings enthusiasm, charm and some positive thoughts about holding on to love and the great things it brings (although it some twists and turns as he mentions in some situations where one has to wait for things to happen after things keep on going wrong).

In the music video, which opens with a classic movie clip, Anderson and his band appear while inside of a colorful set and it all gives the impression of being a tribute to the great big band jazz from more classical times or even Metro musicals with the presence of large group of dancers. Yet it's his vocal performance along with fantastic sounds from his group that attracts me. It's hardly memorable if compared to some of Yes clips but thanks to the song it holds a certain importance and it becomes an enjoyable feast for the eyes. Anderson and Lamont Dozier's lyrics are some of the finest ones I ever seen for a pop/rock romantic song. A very cool musical experience from the 1980's. 8/10.
