I enjoyed the show as I have came across some new forms of comedy. In the recent episodes as the show progresses the comedy content is getting better.
In the beginning, even I thought that this might not work but as the show is going on and I find the content new and fresh.
Please watch the show and then judge it, as creating a show is not at all a joke.

If a talent hunt reality show can find some actual talent which feels like a breath of fresh air, I believe It has done justice.
Some amazing performances. Even people you don't normally like will have atleast one extremely likable performance. So glad that each episode was themed.
Don't watch the show if you want to watch someething really funny - go watch some online viral video for that. Watch it if you like to see how people who are given a chance to prove their worth within a spirit of competition can do when challenged.
Well done Amazon - next season execution should be better now that you know what went wrong.

I am never hyped about any reality show. But I was genuinely interested in Comicsthaan. I was waiting for Friday. The unique thing about this show... You learn a lot. No emotional Drama. You learn a lot on when to joke. I thouroughly loved it. Those who didn't follow season 1... Bad luck.

This is what this show is all about: A group of well known comedians come together to select and mentor 10 fresh comic faces over a course of several weeks. Each week one of the judges picks up a genre and guides the participants to perform on the stage. You can see their imperfections, hiccups, sometimes even their nervousness.. but they persist and every now and then (in fact quite frequently), a gem of a performance comes out. By the time you get to the end of the show, you realize that your perception of stand-up has changed!
God knows what is there to hate in this?!

If you read the title, you know, relentless cringe worthy content, i had squinted eyes the whole day after watching 1/2 of the first episode. this is after the fact that i love and respect most of the comedians as individual comics. what a car wreck this whole show turned out to be. TBH my hopes had died watching the trailer itself, but i thought they are underselling and will over deliver, i was so wrong 😂😂

If you like youtube humour, you'll dig the show. Otherwise what can I say for Kapil Sharma fans.
**One thing when you see comicstaan, the judges are so benelovent and judge from the heart. Nurture like a mother would. Constructive criticism is the only one to be taken seriously, everything else is ranting. Terrific. All of em, maybe cuz they all know the struggle and fought to make a industry for themselves, and handed by rich parents in industry (Kapoor, Johar).

If you understand and love comedy, this is the show for you. I consider myself fortunate to have seen the birth of standup in India, followed it through its awkward adolescence, and have now seen it come of age with Comicstaan. The show format relies heavily on a point system, but if you ignore the "reality show" drama of it (though sadly this is probably what draws a lot of the audience in), this show is intelligent, laugh-out-loud funny, and incredibly self aware. People giving a one-star rating either don't get the humour, or have zero respect for how difficult live comedy is. You can't give amateur standup comedians a new comedy genre every week and expect them to consistently kill it, but what you can expect is to watch them grow, learn from their mistakes, and become better comedians. The judges are basically grooming their own future competition, and doing an amazing job of it too. Looking forward to season 2!

I mean apart from being a reality show, it is so informational. Not something i had really expected in terms of the actual format of the show.
Its like i am being served comedy along with some terrific samples of its various essential types.
The contestants are incredible.
The judges are the best ones we have and to no surprise follows the camaraderie between them which I will forever love to watch.

Neeti and zakir khan suck as a judge! Zakir doesnt understands half of the jokes and neeti is just an addition to increase girls in comedy! Irony is she is not even funny! The contestants are weak as compared to season 1 and also some of the rounds of comicstan are so useless which nobody uses these days to make audience laugh. Rounds like Comedy terror, improv and some more! It should be just a show for jokes and to make people laugh!

This is such an amazing show...maybe the contestants were a bit amateur but that's the whole point of the show to see them grow and push thier boundaries...the show had some remarkable stand-ups and some that weren't so good...but it's sooooo worth the time

He just wanted lime light for being mean judge and gave 7 even when perfornance was solid. His disappointment is 7, good is 7 very good is 7. This guy wants to show image he is hard to please. Throw him away in next season. Unique performance of two old ppl with dating site ad has the best script. Kenny you were too basic to get the idea. I hope you dont rewrite the story of why kattpa killed bahubali or where is pushpa? Suspence, mystey was so good. Just in middle of ep4 kenny forced me to come here and judge his poor juding skill. You stop being a stud judge, this way you not going anywhere. God bless you. Thank you. I am giving 7 for whole show because of your 7 everywhere.

It is a very good show, they genuinely judge right. And AT LEAST IT IS BETTER THAN THE COMEDY SHOWS THAT WE WATCH ON TV like Kapil Sharma stuff... This is way better in jokes, and fun. At least everything here is TRANSPARENT. But the most ANNOYING CONTESTANT who really gets on my nerves is Aishwarya; she is damn overrated. She talks as if she's raging. She feels rude and way too arrogant. Her laughs while doing standup, are very pathetic. Other than that, everybody performs well.
I like NISHANT SURI, PRASHASTHI, SHANKAR, REUBEN, SAURAV AND RAHUL DUA.

I couldn't past 1st episode.
My thoughts after after the first episode: when a girl do standup based on sex and d**s, she gets top position. When a guy does that it's meh. Well, it's meh for both. So suck it up.
I have listened to most of the judges and apart from Vishwa, I don't like anyone. They are in this show for quick money grab and that's all.
Amazon should have better standup comedians like Upmanyu or V Goyal or K Talvar as the judges. I am just surprised at the chances this Tanmay gets. When I watched AIB's very first video, I was like.. what the fu** .. in do kaudi ke comedians se jyada bakchodi Kanpur wale karte hai. And I was right. I never watched to any of their videos again. Why in this world this douchebag getting so many chances.. now being a judge?
This show also shows that standup comedy is a tough job and standup comedians have no new content.
Overall, this is going to be a bad experiment for Amazon. This show is that bad that I am writing my first review ever on IMDb (after rating more than 1800 titles and being member for more than 6 years).

With new judges & genres of comedy it simply gets spicened up & as an indian who doesn't watch many reality sets except they happen to be a myth you know what I'm pointing out 🙃 .This one simply destroys & something which I would like to be served on a platter.I personally enjoyed the show and expect this reality show to go bigger every season. Thanks for the laughs !!

This show is incredible. I urge everyone to watch the full show, not just the first episode. Very well thought of, though difficult to pull off, the team has done a good job.
These guys who are judging are just bit seniors in the industry. It's more of a friendly environment.
Participants with each episode just keep getting better.
Good concept, lot of expectations from second season.

As much I'd wanted for not to happen (like every other Amazon's reality show) Comicstaan sucks. It just proves the point that too many cooks spoils the food.
For those of you who have no idea Comicstaan is, Comicstaan was Amazon's take on reality-comedy where prominent stand up comedians like Biswa, Kenny and Tanmay would be the judges to hunt for the next best stand up comedian.
You would expect it to better than any other reality-comedy you have seen but it's not. The hosts seem hogging up the timeline and overall the show feels overwhelming in a terrible way. Comedian are being serious and it feels more like a recitation competition.
That being said, it's not the worst show on Amazon right now. Some of the people who perform are really awesome and you would genuinely enjoy them.
My point is that I could have loved the show more if it included less the cliché-d reality drama (I understand segregation from drama is not possible but serious drama + comedy isn't something viewers enjoy).
