This was the best intro they could've done for the season.
After the dissappointing season 7 and movie, Ninjago was doomed to reach a new low with season 8, but, like the title says, we were decieved. Season 8 starts with us following six ninjas, presumably the team, trying to steal a priceless artifact from a building. When they'e about to steal it, Lloyd appears and, although they get away, he manages to save the mask. That already is an amazing start with a twist that only good writers would be able to do. This, above all else, is what I like most about this season. The twists, the characters, it's all amazing.
After that, we get to see how the real team is doing before getting invited to the 'royal palace' of the 'royal family' which was never mentioned until their convenient appearance in this episode. That, honestly, is my only complaint, apart from that, great start.
SCORE:9,25.
