Physical Aspects of Puberty (1952)

** (out of 4)

Johnny and Janie are your everyday, average children who are walking together as a narrator then kicks in and talks about how both of them are going to be going through changes here shortly. We start off with the male and then go to the female as we learn about puberty and what changes both of them should expect. This here was another short from the McGraw-Hill production company who made several sex education films. THis one here is pretty much what you'd expect out of one of these things and that's boring narration with bits and pieces of education. This one here basically shows us how both bodies change, grow hair and go through various mental stages. There's certainly nothing ground-breaking here but if you're a fan of this type of thing then there's much worse out there.

PHYSICAL ASPECTS OF PUBERTY takes us where we should never, ever want to go! From "adolescence" to "puberty"! More "glands" and even "hormones" are examined! Must there always be diagrams and explanatory cartoons?

Perverse and horrifying. Only beatniks could have devised something as ungodly as this film! Let us repent and wash our eyes out with good, clean soap!...
