Was scared it'd be terrible, but no...
masonfoxbbt14 November 2018
While some questions and plot points were left open and unanswered, I still LOVE how they did it. The many cameos and returning characters, the fact the ending still wasn't exactly a happy one, and how they expanded on Mallory quite a bit. All in all, I love this finale.

Hahaha how to kill the antichrist? With a SUV. Was laughable. Kinda predicted all the plot. Expected better.

Highly let down
skaterryan1217 November 2018
Warning: Spoilers
This season took me by surprise. Almost everything seemed to be going great...until the finale. It seemed as if the writers knew what they wanted to do, but had no idea they were already on the season finale. With most shows in the world, it's okay to take your time and spread your plot into other seasons, but AHS is usually a one and done with a few callbacks.

Some of the scenes in the finale were great. It's hard not to recognize the very lazy writing and cringey dialogue. Cody Fern was a great addition to cast with little to nothing to do in this lackluster finale. I felt that Fern should have definitely been utilized a lot more than he was especially since the last two episodes spent time building his story up.

The finale was a huge let down but definitely had its moments. It felt as if this episode should have been three episodes or a much longer episode than 43 minutes. The ending was interesting as I was curious in the two younger characters that fell in love and were a mystery to the audience and essentially killed off without digging deeper into who they are. I believe we got what we should have gotten with them and no reason to really come back to that story as it'll just be a rehash of this season again.

Overall, the finale was a major letdown but definitely had its moments. I do however wish the writing was better for the finale as some of that dialogue was very corny.

Great season but not so great finale

This season has been fantastic but this last episode let it down for me, I think because I wanted Michael to win and not the witches.

Absolutely amazing!!

Warning: Spoilers
Omg. Everyone was scared to see how they will end this but my god!!! This was amazing!! Everything from the powerhouse performance by Frances Conroy and the cameos by JLange and Angela Bassett!!! This is one of the most amazing episode of the season. And the end, it comes full circle! They answered all the questions. And the scenes where the witches died, (they come back!), was simply bloody beautiful!! I CANNOT WAIT FOR THE NEXT SEASON!!!

WOW

If you expected a boring and simple finale, you are wrong. We were served one of the best finals that took place in AHS. Everything had its place here. I will definitely mention this season as one of the best. And this plot twist at the very end!

A fun adrenaline rush of death and cameos
katinkaharris5 December 2018
I loved this episode.

I honestly think this was one of the better season finales for AHS, most of the others just put the season to bed but this one did that and deliverd some amazing ones liners, cameos and fun at an amazing speed.

It is sad that moira never got her ending from episode 6 but I'm sure that may get addressed in the later 2 seasons which may be further cross overs possibly?

All in all I would rank this season one of the best on par with the 1st 3 seasons in my humble opinion.

A satisfying and fun season finale
chris_hindlaugh15 November 2018
Warning: Spoilers
Finally a season finale that manages to curb the usual downward spiral of most AHS seasons since freak show!

This finale while predictable was fun, satisfying. The performances and cameos from Conroy, Paulson, Bassett and especially queen Lange made this episode all the more enjoyable.

Undeniable fan service but it felt so right

For everyone wondering about Michael...
judinazena1 February 2019
Warning: Spoilers
Ok, let's start with this - best episode ever! I mean...come on man! Return of Angela as Marie, literally EVERYONE except Myrthle dies, Cordelia sacrifices herself yet again so another supreme can rise? There is NOTHING that woman wouldn't do for the coven, even die. And that deserves RESPECT! I cried so much watching that. Perfect episode!

And to everyone wondering how it was easy for Mallory to kill Michael with a car...guys, at that moment, his powers haven't evolved. The more powers he got, he became less and less human (something like Voldemort with horcruxes, I guess). Anyway, in 2015 he was just a random boy who liked to kill living creatures. And he himself was a living creature who COULD die from ANYTHING, just as any human being can.

As for reborn of another Antichrist...let's hope in further seasons witches will find out about him as well, and take care of it. Because...let's face it, even if people from that satanic cult will try to save him, NO ONE can beat the Supreme!

Btw, let's not forget Jessica Lange's sentence: "Go to hell". EPIC! And just a reminder...in episode 6 (Return to murder house), Constance was a ghost. And now with Michael dead...she did not had the reason to kill herself, so she is ALIVE!

Disappointing and anticlimactic
muchblunt-534-68398315 November 2018
Warning: Spoilers
While I loved the season, the finale felt rushed and bland in comparison to the rest of the season. The fact that Mallory goes back and runs the spawn of Satan over with her car was laughable. This entire season painted her as the all powerful witch and she resorts to hitting a man with a car? No clever writing for the finally and honestly quite disappointing.

Thrilling end
arebazas14 November 2018
What a great episode that satisfies the fan base! I think they made the last 2 episode slow on purpose to deliver this amazing end. Everything is explained and lots of surprises that will make everyone smile! What a season!

Good start, disappointing ending
charr-charr1 December 2018
This season starts out really good and the webbing of all the seasons was really interesting but it just went to nothing. The ending makes the whole season seem totally pointless and didn't make much sense. I think AHS has lost its way since Coven or Asylum. Worth a watch but dont get your hopes up for an amazing season.

This was a great way to end the season but how did Bubbles survive Michael's attack on the coven and somehow ended up in the outpost?

So good I cried.

Warning: Spoilers
I have been rewatching this series since it's premiere. Absolutely my favorite season besides Coven. I cried when Our Supreme, Ms. Cordilla sacrificed herself for the coven. I wish we would get another season of the witches...always will outrank the others.

Guess this ones a marmite finale
simon-2108419 November 2018
Warning: Spoilers
Love or hate it the finale was eventful and I happened to love it.

Despite a few interesting recent episodes this finale managed to make up for it and deliver some fun at break neck speed with the one and only voodoo queen!!

Massively looking forward to the next two seasons hopefully no more Jeff and mutt characters.

Madison deserved better though

Disappointing Ending
lauramarie-0694923 October 2020
Warning: Spoilers
I enjoyed this season until the last episode wheee Cordelia kills herself to save Mallory and the Antichrist is never really killed.

They had him die in some time warp where Mallory runs him over with a car.

I would have loved to see a more dramatic ending where the witches saved the world!

OH MY GOSH!!!!!!!!
vincentlucia-3770015 November 2018
Warning: Spoilers
Well I've got to say that this was one of the best Season Finales that I've ever seen. And yes seeing some of our favorite characters die like, 1.) Cordelia killing herself so Mallory can become Supreme. 2.) Michael killing Coco. 3.) And Marie Laveau being killed by Michael was also sad as well. And in the opening scene of this episode of Mrytle knowing Ms.Venable was so shocking to me. And seeing Angela Bassett making her grand entrance in this episode was so amazing. And it was also cool seeing Jessica Lange again was so awesome. And finally two more things, 1.) Seeing the robot of Ms.Meade exploding and dieing was funny to me. 2.) Judging by the end of the finale felt like season 9 should be a sequel to this season and 3.) And seeing Emily and Timothy back together was amazing

Meh
quintrelbrown15 November 2018
Warning: Spoilers
So they simply killed the anti-Christ by running him over with a car? So does Constance still kill herself? So Cordelia doesn't have any questions for Mallory? So the couple at the end, what makes them so special to be able to create the spawn of satan? So Why didn't the satan worshippers come to Michael when he was a baby? This was rushed and so many unanswered questions. They are lucky that i like the Coven, otherwise i would gave this episode a 2 at best. I just hate when shows or movies always revert to time travel as an easy escape goat to the good guy gaining the victory. Not only should this had been a 20 episode season but a stronger story line. All the random pop ups throughout the episode (the witches popping out of the ground) were just horrible. And it butchered the story.

Most anti-climatic AHS ending ever
otter6815 November 2018
Warning: Spoilers
Most people guessed episodes ago that Mallory would beat Michael, but going back in time to just fix everything is such a cop out. Who knew it was so easy to kill the Anti-Christ? Just run him over with an SUV! Seriously? This is poor writing. Going back in time to fix everything is so weak! Might as well just have someone make a wish and have everything work out.
