WOW, JUST WOW
dollfacecrafter19 August 2021
Warning: Spoilers
What a season ending, everybody in this show is unlikeable, but you actually feel bad for Kendall at the end of this..............Greg is going to be somebody, I can feel it, pretty much the only person I am rooting for. Shiv is a terrible person, "I dont think I can be in a Monogamous relationship" to your husband on your wedding night, really ? Not sure why she is marrying him anyway, I guess we will find out. Roman is a strange one, not sure what his story is yet...........Connor is just plain weird and delusional. I guess money cant buy you brains or common sense.

The prodigal son returns?
patrickbarks27 September 2020
Warning: Spoilers
I don't often review single episodes, or even rate them to be fair, but when I do, they're really this good! Aside from the story of this particular episode which is gripping throughout, the way Kendal is portrayed after the accident is put across really well to the viewers. The moment from the crash to the terrified walk back to the castle almost felt like you were there with him, feeling the intense fear and panic that must have been going through his mind. The morning after was very well visually portrayed too in my opinion. The filming and plot of him walking into the dining room to have breakfast is nothing out of the ordinary, but when Logans guard approaches Kendal, the posture of Kendal and the way the camera pans is very good. We see this tired looking man holding his plate of food, looking almost child like in his stance and posture, seemingly that he feels emotionally and mentally tarnished from the night before. I thought it was really good how they filmed him in this scene, portraying him as almost weak and childlike as opposed to his usual self. The following scene with his father was also very warming, and the emotions portrayed in this scene too felt very real and honest. A truly fantastic ending to the season!

LEVERAGE IS WHAT DEALS ARE MADE OF...
rich-fouts11 September 2019
Warning: Spoilers
.....Not to mention a little itty bit of extortion

"it could be what it should be ....nothing at all. A sad little detail at a lovely wedding where father and son are reconciled," says Logan Roy when he realizes Kendall's second attempt to overthrow him has crashed and burned. Realizing he has huge, really huge leverage ... Logan doesn't even gloat. He's done this before. With great irony he tells Kendall " you are my number one boy." Make no mistake, Logan is pure, cunning evil. Logan, 2, Kendall 0.

What a truly chilling finale. Kudos Jesse Armstrong and Mark Mylod. Another fantastic episode.

Awesome drama. Didn't think it would be much from the trailers, but wow, I'm hooked. The characters are sublimely awful to each other. Poor old Ken just can't catch a break. Looking forward to binging season 2!

Breathtakingly Intense Finale

Warning: Spoilers
A magnificent finale to an incredible season of a brilliant show. That last scene with Logan and Kendall was tremendous. I forgot to breathe I was so focused and wrapped up in what was happening. I give my most sincere compliments to the actors (especially Kendall) for that scene, it was remarkable.

Amazing Drama, amazing tension, amazing finalle!!
and_mikkelsen2 March 2023
Hands down one of the best episodes of TV drama i have seen in a while! The writing is absolutely astounding! You have no idea where things are going and what is going to happen! At the same time the interactions between the characters are what carries it all! Two people talking with each other can create TV magic!

All that was set up in this season culminates perfectly! Great, defeining character moments and some amazing acting! Jeremy Strong was the star delivering his greatest performance of the season! Kendall is such an interesting character who just wants his father to be proud of him and love him!

Very excited to see where things are going!

What a fantastic train wreck.
amandarekonwit9 August 2018
This show has been hard to stomach. It has, at times, been a long, pointless glimpse into a fictitious portrayal of how a heartless and slightly more intelligent Trump family could operate.

I almost quit watching after the second episode. But, something in my gut compelled me to keep watching. ... I'm glad I did.

This has the potential to become Mad Men 2.0. The last episode has the essential Mad Men vibe of, 'there is only one direction: forward.'

Greg the egg is the man.

Very interesting series but for the last episode. An accident to make Kendall guilty??? Come on! And a witness??? Tricky tricky. More intelligent moves please. Thinking whether to go for the second season or not...

A CAR CRASH. Really? Just pathetic.
jermaynet19 March 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Ahh yes. Billion dollar man with everything to lose, desperately needs coke in the middle of sisters wedding decides to drive himself (in which he never does because he's filthy rich and can get anything he wants) under the influence with random waiter to unknown location annnndd they crashed, and the waiters dead.

Now everything that was building up over the last few episodes becomes irrelevant and then we finish with yet another scene where Kendall is his usual pathetic self. Great writing team.

Didn't think the writers were going to be able to top off the "no fly" bs during the vote (ep. 6) - but somehow they did. I get it. "No fly" is a thing. But to hinge a massive part of the story on this? Nah that's lame. Random/nonsensical occurences do not make make for good or interesting story telling. That's what soap operas do.

Absolute roler coster
Rajit_thebingewatcher8 March 2023
Brian and Jeremy have stolen the show at the end. Other characters might come good in other seasons . But this season is all about father son relationship with the News empire they have built on the backdrop. The tussle of the generation is so well portrayed in successor and the end will show how the dominance was established through a hug. What a lovely ending scene it was where you can feel the tension and if you cut that scene only you'll feel like what a beautiful father son rebonding but because you have watched last 10 episode you know how the dominance and surrender has been established in this scene. Definitely going for season 2.

You won't know what's coming.
garbagepailkid7530 June 2023
Warning: Spoilers
There is a moment in this episode that comes out of nowhere. You won't quite be prepared for it, even if you bother reading this. But without totally spoiling it, Kendall, who starts looking like a winner, becomes so traumatized by his father's verbal lashing that he goes on a mission to drown his sorrows in drugs... a mission that does not end up well.

While the moment in question might well be one of the most unpredictable moments in Streamer history, there is also an incredible juxtaposition to the way that Kendall, having just gone through a bizarrely shocking crisis, suddenly dances with his children to a Whitney Houston song, as if nothing is wrong.

The finale leaves you with the feeling that even though you love to loathe these elites, there is now (finally) a compelling moral dilemma suddenly entrenched in the fabric of one of the lead characters...

The show dares you not to care.

Intense final episode! Spoilers...
guapo_andres6 August 2018
Warning: Spoilers
This show started a little slow, but good, and from episode 5 it all went better and better. On this season finale we can see the fall down of the bad child of the family (Kendall) while the wedding is running and he is so high, he misses the control of the car falling down to a swamp, killing the other passenger. The father, Logan Roy, as a good father decides to help him if he leaves the "revolution" behind, while we can see Kendall Roy at his real side, the bad, drogadict and fragile kid he is. The "reconciliation" has just begun and one day, this serie (I hope) will be on the top.

Episode 10: All in all very captivating with a much better flow and messed-up atmosphere, good multi-layered development, a little tricky and unrealistic ending twist and marvelous acting by the cast, showing all ranges of emotions, making you feel rainbows of happiness, frustration, guilt and sadness for the characters.

A 10/10 for me personally.
bayleykedar16 November 2021
Warning: Spoilers
An absolutely phenomenal episode, one that has truly topped everything we have seen during this season thus far. It's difficult to put into words, without spoiling it, exactly what made this episode so great, but it can perhaps be best seen in the dynamic between Logan and Kendall.

There is a real Walter White - Jesse Pinkman atmosphere that is developing within their relationship. It features arguably the best scene of the series in the closing moments of this finale, with remarkably strong performances from Jeremy Strong and Brian Cox. I'm unsure if they won the Emmy or the Golden Globe for this season, but they both surely deserved to.

I don't wish to spoil this for anybody so I will be leaving a far vaguer review than I would prefer. This episode is unusual for me to give a 10/10 to, but I was feeling generous. It's not a perfect ten in terms of content, more so due to the questions it raised and the way in which I began to really feel for some of the characters. In a show like Succession this is hard to come by, especially when most of the people within it are so desperately unlikeable. God, I even felt a bit of understanding for the old man, even if he still feels like the devil that you cannot beat. Succession is a show that can be characterised by constant evolution; it is a show that relies on the development of its characters to succeed, and this episode truly shows how well this works when it is at its finest form.

This is the perfect catharsis to an, overall, good season of Succession. And if the latter half of it proves anything, it's that Season 2 has the potential to be far better.

Superb Episode of TV
nikertainment24 October 2021
I don't even know if this is "TV" anymore (I binged this on HBO Max), but this episode is near perfection in entertainment.

The writing, the direction, and the cinematography are all outstanding here. I laughed (OL) and I sighed and I groaned and I cried, and I was mesmerized for the entire hour.

Everything about this episode (and this series, so far) is winning.

Absolute gold.

Amazing ending of first season
85122223 November 2023
Greetings from Lithuania.

I was surprised of how much i enjoyed "Nobody Is Ever Missing" - the last episode of season 1. As for the season itself, it was good enough that kept me for coming back for episodes and eventually finish it. Its the involving writing and great acting as well as interesting story that got me hooked. Yet the ending or to be more specific the second half of last episode (no spoilers) that hooked me to come back to season now. It was very unexpected, interesting and plausible all at the same time being very sad. And everything happened during the wedding.

Overall, the last episode was great in my opinion.

Unoriginal way of bringing Ken back into the mix
BruceWayne326 March 2022
Warning: Spoilers
I've seen this before The writing should of been better as to how Kendal doesn't take over the company.

Two people driving, accident occurs One person escapes and his enemy blackmails him over the situation

Love the show, just wish that moment was better

That alone drops the score of the episode

Show me something I haven't seen before.

Logan is the GOAT
jose-961533 January 2022
Logan can be ruthless and, sometimes, a mf, but he's the only one I root for.

PD: Man, I feel sorry for Tom. I don't If it's just me but i think Shiv doesn't even love him.
